    Heya

It's been a while since I was here.

Well. I am still making stuff. Terrible games about terrible things.

Squirrel Legacy II: Children of the Nut will be releasing on steam in 10 days. I probably spent too long making that game.

Yes... 'Cause no one can stop me.

A scheme for monetizing fanfiction website

You want to read stories and you want to read good stories right?

Look at patreon. They harvest lots of small amounts of money and gives it to creators. It makes money by taking a percentage.

Fanfic is slightly different because it has a glut of creators. You cannot support all of them. In fact don't want to support most of them.

New Story (The Rise of Demon King Spike)

So... You see like three years ago I had this idea for a story. I thought this idea was really obvious and I wasn't really feeling it so I decided to just sit back and let someone else write it.

Then about a week ago I browsed around looking for this story.

    Oddly I couldn't find it.

    Bronycan

I'll be going to Bronycan on Saturday and Sunday. I seem to have committed an error in attending without ensuring I had people to meet there.

Cons are a bit more like bars then I had expected.

    The Campsite

It was a road like any other. It stretched between two settlements in the periphery of Equestria. Specifically it connected a minor hamlet that capitalized on an exotic fishery and the village where the nearest market was. Here it was the middle of such a road. Roughly equal distance between the two locations were few ponies traveled and fewer still met.

Storm Pony · 2:14am Dec 25th, 2012

Storm Pony: Pre-Equestrian colossi built of dense cloud and bitting wind and fueled with lightning. Built in number by the early Pegasi Tribe. No known examples remain. There is no known basis for Storm Ponies expressing any form intelligence as in contemporary fiction, eg Daring Do and the Lost Storm.

A single small feather gripped in her teeth she carefully slid it into the little cloud sculpture. It was 2 hooves tall and shaped like a pegasus pony. It stood at casual ease.

Twirling the feather between her lips she started the cyclone in it's chest.

The clouds darkened and began to shift rapidly. The form was holding but it was starting to look like it was alive. It's sides even began to swell and fall in imitation of breath.

The object was placed into a glass jar.

Carefully putting a small cloud in place over the container and readying the lid the mare licked her lips in preparation.

With a sudden punch of her hoof she impacted the cloud forcing it to release a bolt of energy. The lid snapped shut.

Inside it's prison of glass the miniature storm pony opened it's eyes of cold gray cloud and flexed it's diminutive wings. With a sudden flick of one wing it struck the side of the jar hard enough to make it shudder.

Opening it's maw with a tiny squeak it spewed forth a bolt of lightning. Slightly blackened the glass held solid before it's onslaught.

With a frustrated noise the little construct threw it's self bodily against the glass.

It's body broke apart on impact and became a swirling mass of mist, free of cohesion and pattern. A cup of swirling sparking storm soup.

It had destroyed it's self in it's bid for freedom.

The pegasus put the full jar of cloud next to the others and picked up a fresh brick of cloud.
