There are two points in the anime where Rukato shippers stake their claim to challenge the Jurato ship.
1. When the three of them are walking through the service tunnel back into Shinjuku, and Takato blushes as he tells Rika that he likes her new shirt.
2. Pretty much all of the Runaway Locomon film, where he asks her to go cherry blossom watching with him, which I believe is akin to a date in Japanese culture.
