    Pipes Sequel

Hey y'all. I'm currently working slowly on a blog post that covers a presentation I recently gave at Everfree Northwest (on Horror, its subgenres, and my advice for writing it).

Meanwhile, a fellow member of Quills and Sofas Speedwriting, Caligari, has published an expansion of one of my stories: Pipes.

Fleeting Light Book - Now Available!

Well, it took a bit longer than I wanted, but I finally finished updating the FIMFiction versions of the stories in the Fleeting Light series—and caught like three more errors in the printed version—so the book is now officially for sale!

It's just under a week away and I cannot wait, so I figured a reminder post about Everfree Northwest would be a good idea.

EFNW - Plans and Panels · 12:07am July 25th

Hey all. The schedule for EFNW was posted, and I can announce that my panel for the convention was accepted.

I'll be running "Horror and Horses" on Friday at 2:30 PM. Compared to the version I ran at Ponyville Ciderfest this past year, which dealt more with standouts from the fandom and a "why" to the question of how horror took off in the fandom, this version will focus more on advice for writing horror and hopefully some convincing reasons for why you should be writing horror if you haven't already.

And while I won't be on it, a lot of my friends from Quills and Sofas Speedwriting will be running "How to Speedwrite" on Friday at 5:30 PM. It'll include some advice and a quick hour long speedwrite, so if you're interested in trying to compete in the Iron Author Contest this year, swing by and get some practice in.

I'll have copies of A Fleeting Light in the Darkness available at the Book Nook again, and I'll be doing my best to find some time to volunteer there this year. Whether you have the book already or not, I'd be happy to pen my signature in a copy.

I'm hoping to get back in the swing of writing and publishing stories in the back half of this year, so hopefully you'll see more from me soon.

I live on the complete other side of the country from EFNW but I am so close to purchasing a ticket to get to see such a cool panel!
