Doctor Who x TMA pt. 4: The Daemons as the Dark.
In the AU as I envision it, this is the one where Three becomes a full avatar of the Buried. He was susceptible to it already by being trapped on Earth, and the events of The Silurians properly marked him. Now the Master’s summoned a spirit of the Dark to serve him, and the Doctor was forced to entomb them all below the earth to stop his scheme. He was in turn, however, trapped in the Dark as much as Azal was by the Buried – until Jo came to save him. Just like in the episode, she would sacrifice herself for the Doctor, becoming the Distortion to rescue him. Though, as time went on, she would stop being Jo and become Iris Wildthyme instead…
If Prince Mentiad weren’t an alicorn, I probably would’ve made him a Sphinx instead.

What, blow up a whole planet with a radioactive volcano? Adult male armadillos could never. Adult female armadillos, on the other hand? Played by Joanna Page and Helen Mirren? They just might, if they can stop the remorseless cycle of intergenerational conflict that plagues them! That and the pesky Doctor, of course, as The Dominators gets a 21st-century makeover that’s absolutely leather-clad (if you catch my drift), with levitating Quark-balls, the Domination Sphere, and plenty of drilling. Captain Jack’s having a real fun time with this one!

Counter-Counterpoint: The Summoning Dark, name notwithstanding, is way more Slaughter-aligned, and the Guarding Dark, which was already within Vimes, embodies his sense of paranoia and his self-knowledge of his inner darkness. So, basically it's Batman, and is therefore a Dark-Hunt edge case.
Vimes also did actually win the tournament I did for Best Dark Avatar, narrowly beating out the Vashta Nerada. Actually, I don't know that I brought up my Fear Brackets here before, so here's a link. I think you might find them interesting!

I especially appreciate how the consensus is that it's not clear which Entity would lay claim to Homestuck, but something certainly would.
