I'm putting the last touches on the next chapter of Sunset of Battle. It got delayed by a few factors; first is I'm just plain ol' lazy at times, Second was a desire to tweak and tune further (this paid dividends), and Thirdly, I lost my Tigger last Thursday. For the past couple years, since I rescued her from her previous owner, she's been my everything and rock, and I was hers. She'd been left to rot in a garage for several months before I got her. She would sit in her little stool my grandfather made from an old wooden wagon wheel and watch me as I wrote, or vastly more often, wasted time in video games. The past two months she's been in a horrible losing battle with cancer.
What I have ready;
Sunset 16; 6k words
Sunset 17; 5.2k words (going to get a thorough rewrite however)
Sunset 18; 2k words trimmed from Sunset 16 to form the basis of a new chapter.
Sunset 19; 3.3k words. This chapter are am very exited about. It's stylistically very different for the first half.
This will not conclude the Vault Arc, however. Sunset 18 and 19 are semi-fluid in their order, though I don't think I can delay Sunset 18, given the way Sunset 16 ends.
That's all for now. Once I have finished tidying up Sunset 16, I plan to post it. So it could be tonight or in the next couple days.
PS: I've fallen in love with this Snippet of a song from Epic: The Musical. Throws me back into good memories of working on Myths.
