... Or: Yelling Into the Void about trivial bullshit, because that's what the Internet was built for.
(In case you somehow don't know the meme)
I miss the static epoch of the Internet. You know, "Web one-point-oh", the Internet of circa 2000.
I miss when a website and an application (or, as we called them at the time: "programs") were two very different things.
I miss the epoch where computers simply didn't have enough resources to do all these slick UI embellishments. Especially things like every time the dev teams push a new feature, or god-forbid, *moves* something, I now get a bright pop-up on my screen telling me all about the Spam-n-Eggs Button's new, attention-grabbing location riiiiiight next to this div we've reserved for ad space....
I miss when everything was a glorified text file.
file.txt
---
textile text file
filing textile text
exiting textile test file text file
existing text file dot tee -xt
tensile textile file text
Idk, just having fun with words there.
Rant(?) over I guess. Carry on.
