Happy 20th Anniversary, DreamWorks' "Madagascar" (1,400th blog is one that makes sense)

Original Release Date: May 27th, 2005

Yes that hurt to type. Yes it's true. And yes I am actually currently watching it. Blessings be it that I can watch one of the best DreamWorks movies from the latter half of the 2000s.

Happy 30th Anniversary Disney's "The Lion King" · 9:37pm Jun 15th, 2024

I feel like I may have made a similar post for the 25th anniversary, yet I honestly can't remember right now. Anywho!

Original Release Date: June 15th, 1994

Yes good people, it really is 30 today (believe me, that hurt to type)! Astounding in that of all the movies to come from the Renaissance Era for Disney, this one is often cited as the most memorable and most cherished amongst them all (mind you, between 1989 and 1999, Disney released a total of 10 films and of them all, usually The Lion King is rated in the top 3 of the decade of [Non Pixar] feature films)! Here, the following videos speak for themselves as to why this movie is so beloved!:

(⬆️ Original Trailer from 1994)

(Best. Opening. To a. Animated. Film. EVER!!!)

(Unless any of y'all wanna get technical, you only see the version with the song "The Morning Report" with the special 10th anniversary DVD/VHS tape. Otherwise the next song with lyrics, is in fact, "I Just Can't Wait To Be King".)

(Saddest and most traumatizing scene in cinema history I stg!)

(Be real, how many weddings have y'all been to in the last 29 years that had this song incorporated somehow?)

(.....No words.....)

(How else was this gonna end?! Epic was the only option!)

So once again, Cheers for 30 (still hurts to type) years!

Til next time,
-PH27
