I had the misfortune of meeting one of these assholes years ago, when they were part of one of my Brony groups. It did not take long for them to burn every bridge and get kicked out; they still cause real anxiety to people left. We hear about the really charismatic predators, or the predators who don't really stand out and just don't stand out in a crowd. There's also the predators with are very obviously stunted social, emotional, and even mental capability. THOSE types of predators are only able to find success because they go after similarly vulnerable people; victims with trauma, with disabilities, with self-hatred & terrible self-esteem. And of course, minors who haven't fully developed. These predators also manage to persist because of eliciting pity, because their terrible lives quickly become apparent.

I can’t say how we compare to something like the Smash Bros or Pokémon community. Or any particular anime. The people in this document are pretty small fish. I just felt obligated to post it because, besides them being dangerous, I wanted to share my experience with one.
