An Unprompted Update: I'm Doing Fine and I'm Still Alive, I'll Be at Everfree, and I Build Rockets Now! · 12:55am May 28th, 2024
Hi everyone!
Definitely a random thing to see me again after I said like seven years ago I'd be leaving for time management, and then two years ago that I was in dire need for money, with personal life stuff sprinkled in, but here's an update! Some of the prior major milestones include graduating high school almost ten years ago, starting college soon after, then finally graduating college.
It's not like I owe it to anyone, but I've found that I enjoyed writing these updates on my life here, even if the only person to read them will be myself in a few years' time.
I wrote out quite a bit of updates, but in interest of PERSEC and not oversharing: I've been doing good! Y'know how previous blogs talked about wanting to get into aerospace and me building rockets in college? Turns out I did exactly that after college, finding a nice job working on building planes. This year, I actually quit that job and found a new job in the space industry, so I'm professionally building rockets now. This is definitely a dream job of mine, an incredible opportunity, and I'm still in disbelief about what I get to do every day.
It's really nice!
In other news, I'll be at Everfree Northwest this year! In past years I've mainly hung out at the vendor hall, if you see me please say hi! My badge will be this name.
In keeping with tradition, the current projects I've been working on, though the list is very scarce this time around.
I've been helping Monochromatic a little with projects she throws my way, and recently I helped my friend evelili with The Ambiguous Colour of Saffron.
Congratulations on completing your education and finding your dream job! It’s a rare achievement in life and I’m very happy for you.
I’ll be at Everfree this year as well so I’ll be sure to say hello!
yay, you're not dead! :D
I assume the job is close enough to warrant me belting out Rocket Man in the unlikely event I see you in person.
