These are all the stories I had put a little bit of thought or idea into that I'm now laying out here as I have no intention of writing more. Some ideas had more thought put into them than others, but what I'm putting here is essentially just random notes or outlines at best. I don't think anyone will get inspired or anything but if you do then feel free to do whatever you wish with these ideas.
Discord Went Down to Appleloosa:
Taking place in the timeline where Discord won, he kind of gets bored of the usual chaos and decides to have a contest. He goes to Appleloosa, finds Fiddlesticks, and turns her back to normal from whatever state she was in the chaotic world. He then gives her an offer—beat him in a fiddle contest and if she does he’ll return Equestria to normal but if she loses then Discord gets her soul.
Nameless EQG summer vacation cruise ship story:
Basically just a slice-of-life comedy series with no set plot or ending. All the EQG characters, the Mane 7, schoolmates, Shadowbolts, Dazzlings, etc. end up on a cruise during summer vacation. The ship would be like one of those gigantic Royal Caribbean ones. Story wouldn’t be completely linear either, each chapter would just follow something one of the characters is doing on any given day. Probably a decent mix of romance thrown in. Might share the same continuity with my Applejack x Sour Sweet stories. Just relaxing fun to write and add to whenever.
The Toxic World:
Entirety of Equestria became a toxic wasteland years ago through some random excuse. Higher technology level than the main series.
Twilight Sparkle is a professor studying and trying to cure the poisons/chemical weapons. Starlight Glimmer is an amoral professor doing the same. Starlight has a huge secret crush on Twilight. Princess Celestia promotes Starlight over Twilight to Minister of Research. Other Ministers are the Flim Flam Brothers for engineering. Applejack for agriculture. Pinkie Pie for public morale. Trixie for Entertainment. Shining Armor for Security.
Rainbow Dash works in security. Rarity designs, invents and improves on the environmental suits. Fluttershy is an animal expert. Roseluck is a botanist working with Twilight and Starlight. There is very little safe area left, several connected gigantic domes over the former town of Ponyville and neighboring lands are all that’s left of “Equestria.”
Changelings survived by “mode-locking” into a form that’s immune to the poisons and toxins. They’ve become nothing more than feral animals. Parasprites are the only other animals left, unaffected by the chemical weapons. The domes are protected by anti-Parasprite fields? All the flora has essentially been reduced to various types of fungus that produce the various chemical agents in the area.
Green Death. Purple Rot. Red Mist. Agony Smoke. Dark Water.
Agony Smoke is generated by the black fungus that has replaced nearly all flora. Similar to mustard gas but a little weaker. It’s essentially replaced breathable air and is everywhere, it’s not as deadly or guaranteed to be fatal like the other things but it’s the biggest issue with repopulating the rest of Equestria because of how widespread it is. The other things are more localized but Agony Smoke is just spread evenly across the land.
Twilight Sparkle Traverses the Unknown:
Twilight wakes up on a deserted, donut-shaped, island with eight zones evenly split up into different environments/biomes and a giant lake in the center. She discovers the progenitor of the pony species at the bottom of the lake that brought her here and attempts to use her as a conduit to take over all pony life.
Twilight would be taking notes in a journal most of the story. Story would lean very heavily on prose and descriptiveness and not dialogue. Lot of exploration and experimentation.
A World Without Hands:
After his supposed death, Yoshikage Kira wakes up in Equestria and promptly falls into depression because ponies don’t have hands. This idea is terrible and I don’t think it would work as a full story.
Random Horror/Anthology:
Just felt like writing a collection of horror/suspense stories. Something like Kaidan. Or really any horror by Lupine Infernis.
Rainbow Dash Hates Pride Month:
EQG Rainbow Dash gets really annoyed that everyone thinks she’s gay when June rolls around because of her hair. This one probably would’ve gotten me some angry comments.
A Sequel to “Why Don’t We Just Eat the Unicorns?”:
I genuinely can’t remember what my idea was for this, but it involved everyone at a fancy dinner with Nightmare Moon.
Roseluck on the Northern Front:
A Crystal War story primarily following Roseluck as a private in the army after being conscripted when it becomes apparent Equestria needs more soldiers. Will mostly follow her on the ground perspective and personal experiences but what the Mane 6 are up to will also be touched on. Twilight will be working with Flim and Flam, Starlight, and others on creating experimental weapons designed to turn the tide of the war.
A Fallout Equestria story that hopefully wouldn’t be terrible:
I have issues with Fallout Equestria and most of the common cliches found in its off-shoots so I would be doing things completely my own way. In this story Vaults would be called Vaults because there’s no reason for them not to be called that. The story would be much more hopeful and positive, because I want it to truly be a meld of mlp values and ideals and the Fallout style.
Celestia would have created the Vaults, or made the plans for them at the very least, and the story would begin at the same time Friendship is Magic begins. A magical/nuclear apocalypse would have happened years before Twilight was born, the ponies of Equestria would have been shepherded into the Vaults. And unlike both Fallout and Fallout Equestria the Vaults and Celestia’s machinations would be benevolent. However due to the rushed nature of the huge project some Vaults would naturally malfunction and Celestia had hid from the populace that they would have to live in the Vaults much longer than initially promised. A special military vault would open earlier than most and the inhabitants charged with fixing the weather and state of Equestria as best they could.
Unfortunately this group would become jaded, seeing that they were essentially sacrificed so that the other Vault ponies could live happier lives down the road. They abandon their duty and create a new Cloudsdale/Fortress City just for themselves. Because of this Equestria is still mostly radioactive and destroyed and full of mutated monsters when the rest of the Vaults open years later.
The Vaults open based on a special timer that counts down at the moment all of the Mane 6 get their Cutie Marks. Which happens at the same time as in the show. Celestia knew the Elements would be needed to survive in and heal this new world fully and based the Vaults opening around that.
Twilight ventures out to find out the mystery of why the Vaults opened when they did and if Celestia is still around. By fate and the magic of friendship she ends up meeting the other Elements and they start journeying together while trying to fix the world. They’d contend with the military faction that is not as bad as the Enclave or Caeser’s Legion but still isn’t good. The leader can still be reasoned and talked to though. Another group would be a group of insane cultists trying to create Alicorns because they think an Alicorn like Celestia is the only thing that can save Equestria. They do this though by butchering ponies and sewing various body parts onto others. Starlight would have also been in a Vault and instead of letting anyone out when they open she keeps hers closed and tries to rule over the ponies inside until Twilight and the others stop her.
Not sure how the plot otherwise unfolds besides that.
I think out of all these concepts, these two would’ve intrigued me the most:
The Discord one has that delightfully chaotic and potentially quite humorous energy that would’ve made for an entertaining short story.
The one about Twilight almost seems like a part of your Lostverse, with plenty of mystery, magic, and exploration, and also almost feels like it could be inspired by the Myst games. However, it would be difficult to implement into the chronology. Still, it sounds like a cool adventure.
Poor Yoshikage Kira, if dying wasn't enough, he's now in a pony world... with no hands. F
The one about Twilight in the island world sounds interesting, she had thought about something like that before, but she felt very bored being alone.
