Sorry guys. · 2:41pm Feb 22nd, 2012
It brings me no small amount of joy to see how much you all are enjoying Not The Afterlife I Signed Up For. Your feedback has been a constant source of happiness since I first started posting the story. However, it is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that my updates are going to become even more sporadic than before. You see, I have a full-time job now, and I am being swamped by a plethora of side projects. I do plan on continuing the story, but it will be updating at a much slower rate. This being said, would you all prefer I do more constant small updates, or hold off and do large ones? Should I skip over character development to progress the story, or would you like to learn more about everyone and their relations to each other? Please feel free to comment on your thoughts. Thanks again!
Please dont change anything!
Take as much time as you need and make it the best it can be.
Nevewr skimp on the content of your work. Regardless of how fast you publish it, what you publish should be precisely what you _want_ to publish. I personally would be insulted to find that experience-enhancing content had been dropped from a story, simply so I could read it faster. On FF, I am currently reading a fic which updates roughly 10k words on approximately a bi-annual basis. I _would_ prefer quicker updates - but not at any cost to the quality of the story.
As for short/long, well... The length of the chapter you publish should be directly proportional to the amount of time since the last chapter was released. Provided you follow that general formula, I really have no opinion as to which method is better.
Yeah, the chapters are fine as they are. We don't mind waiting a little longer for em.
Most of us already have over ten gazillion and one stories, so I'm sure we can occupy ouurselves with minor work while waiting for the good shtuff

Thanks again for the support guys. I do have a bit of good news though. I work at a specialized printing shop running the printers using computers. I talked with my boss, and he is going to let me have a tab open with my story so I can write it as I work. Now most of the time I'll be busy with other things, but this may actually end up speeding up the production time of each chapter!
I love my job!
17901 - this is exactly what I would have told you! Don't worry about us - you have a story to write :).
17920 - YaaaaaaY!
Write exactly the way YOU want to tell the story.
We all can wait for updates if need be. That's what story tracking is for.
Patience is a virtue and that saying shall not be crossed!
Even if it takes a month to update it's going to be super duper amazing, keep everything as is, go steady or fast forward whichever makes YOU feel comfortable.
As long as the writer likes the story, the story will be to our liking too. Just make sure you don't overwhelm yourself. REAL LIFE COMES BEFORE PONIES!
Whichever way you choose to go, short and fast or slow and steady, we will keep on reading. Capital stuff sir, capital stuff!
I don't mean to nag or sound repetative but it is in no uncertain terms. that I say to go slow and do it right we can stand to be patient, and I think I speak for us all when we say that good work will falter in a rush, and will be like a diamond when you take your time
take as long as you nees, as long as the quality of the work either stays the same or gets better
