    March Blog: Well, February... Happened

I never did put up a February blog, breaking my streak... but given what I did post instead... I think it's understandable.

    Cry For Help

I've been cagey about what's been happening to me.

Part of that is an instinctive wariness of sharing personal info online. And yes, those of you who have worked with me through Paypal are free to note the irony, since y'all know my legal name but... you still get it.

January Blog: Technically It's Still January

So, I mentioned having a bad December?

    January was worse.

I'm going to be brief, because I have a lot of catching up to do, but I have some news.

December Blog: I Did Indeed Jinx Myself

December's not typically a good month for me.

It's been a very bad month, even for December, so far.

Bad enough that I'd rather talk about it once we're into January and I can do so with hindsight.

Patreon Launch · 4:00pm May 7th, 2023

I said yesterday that I'd be putting up my Patreon page today, and I've been poking at settings, learning to navigate the site, and bit-by-bit doing exactly that.

I did hit a stumbling block when I found out that the lowest it'll let me set a tier, for pricing, is 5 CAD (it took me too many minutes to realize that was the problem; it "recommends" that amount but didn't tell me it was a requirement or that that was why my repeated attempts to create that tier resulted in it refusing to save it), which dashed my hopes of having a 1 CAD starting tier, but I adjusted things to accommodate. I'm also taking a bit of a shot in the dark regarding the higher tier rewards, that those are things that would interest folks, but the truth is that they're something I want to be able to offer people if they are.

And so now, here it is!

I'll be doing things on a monthly basis. Easier budgeting for everyone all around, and none of me trying to do calculus on what constitutes a fairly chargeable chapter/oneshot/etc. I'll just write my flanks off each month, and it'll be up to you how much you feel my typical output is worth.

And as for what you'll be getting, the tiers are like this:

Gentlecreatures - 5 CAD - WIP Access & Deleted Scenes
When I have a script for a story chapter, I'll place it in a Google doc so you can see my progress in turning it into a draft and editing that draft into a finished chapter (commissions are the exception, as their writing process stays between myself and the commissioner). Any scenes that may get cut after they've been scripted or drafted will also be saved for patrons at this tier to see.

Noble - 7 CAD - Voting Power
When I lay out what I want to accomplish writing-wise for the month, these patrons get to vote on which I focus on in what order (barring if I have commissions to work on that month, as those always take priority).

Royal - 10 CAD - Blog Requests
Patrons at this tier can ask me to write a blog on anything, related to my work or not, but keep in mind that if you ask me for something that I have nothing to say about (say, a show/movie/game I've never engaged with), would be mostly spoiler tags, or would be too personal for my comfort, I may ask you to offer a different topic. Limit to one request per patron per month.

Demigod - 20 CAD - Worldshaper Status
These patrons will have permission to use locations, OCs, and worldbuilding from the Eventide Verse in their own works (to be used for T-rated and under purposes) and will have a folder of their own in the Eventide Verse FimFiction group to make these works a recognized branch continuity.

So if any of that seems appealing to you and worth the price, you know where to go.

And now, back to the keyboard.
