Started writing a book, got 100,000 words into it and needed a break, so I just wrote and finished a different 70,000 word book as a treat. Well, first draft, so it goes. I'm insanely proud of both of these for different reasons. The former is more like me trying to write something tonally Moonfic again for the first time since, the second is more like a mix between my Flimsy Pretexts and Mind if I Cut In writing with Serpent and the Apple and Vows Made in Wine. Just a raw dark ya romantic comedy about the shit I was dealing with at sixteen, which covers everything I wish someone had told me then.
Now I've got to start doing the seriously unfun stuff of looking for an agent, a publisher, getting it up to those standards. So watch this space for updates on that as it happens maybe it'll be cool.
Side note, Im probably not dying but I don't know for sure? I don't know. I went into the emergency room with internal bleeding and the only diagnosis they were willing to give me for it was schizophrenia. Lost ten kilograms in six weeks. Tingling in my extremeties and at least two different kinds of hallucinations with two different root causes, neither of which is schizophrenia. Who fucking knows.
I wrote a lot about it but decided not to post about it until that situations less of a fucking downer. Situations trending positive. Im seeing three different doctors in a 24 hour period about it and I'm about to sleep for the next batch.
If anyone's got tips on good places to start with Real Publishing I'd love whatever you have for me.

You need to wait a while for any agent to get back to you. Literally the only person interested in seeing more of the one I have linked in my bio took an entire year to respond. I'd already self-published at that point, though.
ow, I am sorry for your health state, MrNumbers .... I wish you will not populate this list of talented authors who suffered greatly for some reason (may be having mind/body in overdrive does this to our health ...most laughable thing for me I can't stop overthinking to the point where it also ...unfunny, but it minor thing relatively speaking)
So ... stay stronger, find some crack in reality for publishing.
Hope things improve soon, being a medical mystery is not fun.
I don't have any advise myself, but i know another user on the site, https://www.fimfiction.net/user/92130/Viking+ZX, is a successful, self-published author. Might be worth DM-ing them?
