Yearly Birthday Update? · 10:00pm May 3rd, 2023
Well, it's somewhat of a tradition to pop up once a year to proclaim I'm not dead and give an update now, right? Well let's do it then.
Thankfully, the cruel, unrelenting flow of time has not yet claimed me. Three years after I thought it would. This year has been extremely rough so far. Despite an initial burst of optimism in December and January alongside some much-needed productivity, the subsequent months have been, well, rocky. Lost a few close friends I thought would be there for me in some not-so-great ways and have had a difficult time dealing with the depression that follows. That has a funny way of eating up large chunks of your life if you let it and I have unfortunately not been able to wrangle with it in the most healthy of ways. I still do my best to be optimistic about getting to a better state though. Bad times can't last forever, right? I've pushed myself into a happier state and can do it again, or at least I hope so. Today's also my birthday, so something to celebrate, right?
With each year that goes by, there's always that increasing worry that no one will really be interested in this fandom anymore. I do still have an interest in making Sunset content but I've spent so long battling with my own depression it feels like making a community here for it might not lead to much. I still plan on doing it because I enjoy it, but nothing lasts forever, as we all know. With the show being over for so long now, I've even found myself somewhat moving on from this being my main interest and I know a lot of people around here check the site less and less. I've made an attempt at a community with my discord server, but I guess we'll see how it all holds up. Currently teetering back and forth between hopeful and hopeless, perhaps looking for some lost souls out there to confirm they're still as obsessed with best girl as I am.
Anyway, that's all I have for now, I suppose. Going to try my best to be more consistent but I have been anything but in my life so far. Hope I can make something worth sticking around for soon. Hope you guys have a good day yourselves and thanks for reading.

Sorry for joining the server then suddenly becoming inactive. It's not because I'm less interested, especially not in the fandom. I'm doing a startup, and I'm just short on time. Believe it or not, I got the idea for it from a response on /mlp/ when I asked what kind of startup would help the fandom. It turns out some people are willing to work with me on the execution, and at least one person is willing to fund it through the early stages.
So, pony is still on my mind. A lot. Especially Best Mare. I'm just stuck doing it in a way that takes up a lot of time and for which the fandom doesn't have good outlets.
