Well, there goes my bronze sponsorship of fimfiction.
It wasn't actually intentional. I forgot to update my credit card information, and didn't realize until I noticed an ad on the page.
I could just go and update it, but now that it's actually cancelled, I should probably think about whether I want to just leave it that way or not. I could use the extra money.
One factor in there, too, is that I don't feel like fimfiction is ever going to change significantly from the way it is now, unless it shuts down. I was helping keep the lights on... but a lot of people are doing that, and I'm not sure one donation more or less is going to affect things.
Still thinking about it, though...

And it it me, or does it seem like imgur's broken on fimfiction in the last few days?

5728374 For a decade, people would only come to knighty with problems. I bet dealing with so much negativity on a daily basis can take a toll on a person. I know he's been struggling, I'm just not sure to what extent.
And when sites start blocking Fimfiction so that their pictures can't even be shown, it's probably just another blow to his morale.
I think the functionality for pictures works just fine, it's just that more and more sites are blocking this site, I suspect.

I think I remember him having some medical issues at one point or another. Don't remember the details, though.
Of course, Xaquseg also works on the site, and a lot of the issues people go to knighty with can be taken care of my site staff, or even group admins instead...
Imgur actually already blocked fimfiction, just knighty had a workaround. IIRC, he downloads the pictures to the servers, and then shows the downloaded copy instead. I suspect imgur is blocking those servers domain or ip now as well.
Of course, imgur's also in process of nuking all nsfw pictures and pictures not associated from an account and such (in fact, today is the day that starts), so they are kinda trying to be the next tumblr...
