Pomepii summary

Okay, a “quick” synopsis of how I planned Pompeii to go:

The Mane 6 + the Williams would have been thrown in a country-wide (approx.) jail called “The Valley of the Dead and Wicked” and met a hunter who lived in one of its forests. At some point, the group would split up with Dash and Twilight going into town where they would meet G1 Firefly. I also was going to introduce a character named Jafcin Masema, a resident of the Valley descended from one of its original inhabitants when it became a prison. Twilight and Dash would return with Firefly, and after meeting the Williams, she would have remembered their adventures from My Little Pony 'n Friends. She would have led the group plus Jafcin to a small town directly next to the Wall called Tergaron that had a secret tunnel that led out. I hadn’t planned out much more after that, only that there was a riot that allowed the Mane 6 + the Williams to get out.

They would then proceed to the north and find the kingdom of the Winter King, which is where Princess Celestia and Luna had gone to after receiving a vision. It would then be revealed that the Winter King was the Prince from Rescue from Midnight Castle. Upon meeting the Williams, he’d recover his memories like Firefly, and reveal he had two sets of memories: one as the Winter King, and one as the Prince from the TV special. They would eventually push to Thulst’s city and fight him, kill him, and it would be revealed that an artifact of his, a golden chalice, was the transformed form of Bowtie.

The group would return to Equestria with the two princesses in tow, and leave Bowtie, Firefly, and the Prince behind in Haelan. This pattern would essentially continue on for the rest of the other realms controlled by the followers of Driath, with some variation, like finding that G1 Spike had become an eastern dragon in fitting with the realm they rediscovered him in, or meeting with the three witches who created the original Smooze were now working on the side of good. At some point in the middle of the fic, Tirek would come back and the Mane 6 and the Williams would throw down with him. Eventually, they would have all found their way into Driath’s realm, which was supposed to be different because it was an eldritch location from outside of time and thus, not accessible through normal means. Still, the nine of them would have pushed through to fight the evil overlord and after a hard battle, would deal him a mortal blow.

But then: big twist! Driath and his followers were responsible for “cosmic cleanup” as metaphysical forces that would reset the world, essentially being responsible for the previous generations of MLP (how original). However, instead of completely alt+f4-ing the universe, Megan, Danny, and Molly would end up absorbing Driath’s power and would have been able to use it to rewrite the universe instead of reset it at the cost of leaving Equestria completely and their friends forgetting they ever met in the first place. There would have been a denouement with Megan about 40 years after the events of the fic telling her grandson a story about how she and her siblings traveled to a magical land called Equestria. The end...for some time, until I would have written a stealth sequel.

I’m missing a lot because I have forgotten some plot points or just didn’t plan too far ahead. I apologize if you were expecting something more grandiose or were looking forward to the fic, but...idk, I just don’t like how it’s written anymore.
