Texas, part two · 9:57pm Mar 27th, 2023
in new home in Texas now. Blip made the trip successfully and is now either getting acquainted with the other six cats, or is cowering behind the bed. If so, she'll come out.
Have a lot of unpacking to do, but before that, WE have a LOT of CLEANING UP to do before I CAN unpack. Maybe tomorrow we'll start. After 24 hours behind the wheel going through Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, a couple of days off IS called for, agreed?
Of course, what happens today? A line of thunderstorms and pea-sized hail for a short time. Back in SLC, they're sweating snow. I have yet to decide on preferences. I'm just glad Blippy Kitty is not outside in it any more. My faith in her was not misplaced.
More news when I have some. I really ought to get cable installed soon- it too damn quiet in here.
Hope you got a good storm shelter or reinforced room, the news this side of the pond keeps bigging up all sorts of nasties your way.
Hope you are staying safe and secure!
you need to take a good 3 weeks to just de-stress and get moved in friend.
Couple of days off is definitely called for always been told any trip involving Texas half the trip is getting to Texas the other half is driving in Texas. This is certainly true for some parts and probably more than half the trip is driving in Texas especially if you were going to South Texas or across the state to like Houston

Draw a line east from Roswell, NM to a point southish of Lubbock, then head south to San Angelo. Now, start the drive in Las Vegas. I may be straightened out in a week or so. Don't hold your breath.
5720197 distance wise about the same as driving from Ohio to Denver though fewer states crossed those western states are big... hours and hours to cross
