Settled in Vegas, with my faithful feline furball Blip sleeping peacefully on my bed (and NOT trying to cover the keyboard...). Been a while since I lived on my own, with little support and less companionship. I'm managing. At least I got WHATDG finished, and planning another trip, on a different ship, down a different river, to a different set of problems. First problem is fitting it in between

    Well, that move didn't work...

Moving to Texas proved to be a bust, so, next month (2 Dec) I'll be packing my goods and heading to Las Vegas. Well, me and Blip, that is. Looking forward to peace, quiet and privacy. Living with a family that without my roomie's generosity would be living out on the streets is very taxing on my sanity and my wallet. The hope is there that with my new living situation, I will be able to settle

    Back to writing, I... hope...

Started chapter 18 on Voyager, what's on the LST, where did the ponies go, and stuff like that. Hope I can keep up the pace. First writing since October. Let's see what happens next.

Have a lot of unpacking to do, but before that, WE have a LOT of CLEANING UP to do before I CAN unpack. Maybe tomorrow we'll start. After 24 hours behind the wheel going through Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, a couple of days off IS called for, agreed?

Of course, what happens today? A line of thunderstorms and pea-sized hail for a short time. Back in SLC, they're sweating snow. I have yet to decide on preferences. I'm just glad Blippy Kitty is not outside in it any more. My faith in her was not misplaced.

More news when I have some. I really ought to get cable installed soon- it too damn quiet in here.

Hope you got a good storm shelter or reinforced room, the news this side of the pond keeps bigging up all sorts of nasties your way. :twilightoops:

Hope you are staying safe and secure!

you need to take a good 3 weeks to just de-stress and get moved in friend.

Couple of days off is definitely called for always been told any trip involving Texas half the trip is getting to Texas the other half is driving in Texas. This is certainly true for some parts and probably more than half the trip is driving in Texas especially if you were going to South Texas or across the state to like Houston

Draw a line east from Roswell, NM to a point southish of Lubbock, then head south to San Angelo. Now, start the drive in Las Vegas. I may be straightened out in a week or so. Don't hold your breath.

5720197 distance wise about the same as driving from Ohio to Denver though fewer states crossed those western states are big... hours and hours to cross
