I have an idea for a type of flower, just need some thoughts on if it needs a li'l something.

I call them "Ever-Afters", white heart-shaped roses that bloom and glow when the love in the air is strong or—when in someone's grasp—the ring around its inner petals shine when they're near their soul mate.

Thoughts? Any interesting functions/quirks to add?

Maybe have it wilt and wither when it senses ill intent?

It may also wither In presence of someone who genuinely hates you.
Functions may be use in making love potions making couples realize their true feelings once more in case they have forgotten it and grown apart from their soulmate. These, in my humble opinion, are some possible functions and properties of the Ever Afters

I did have one idea where they have stems long enough for two to hold it and the flower judges their level of love by growing or shriveling. Or just shriveling in the hands of someone full of hate.

Now I just imagine two ponies walking through the field of flowers and behind one, they're in full bloom while the other pony leaves a trail of dead flowers.

Could be or glow white a sign of purity, around a possible love, but blooms turning red once they fall in love a symbol of love.

I like the idea to use it in potion, but make it easy to make it into a poison that will kill a pony if they can't find true love with in 1 year...with no cure for it, but have a flower of it glow like a beckon when heading in the right direction to the said true love. The flowers beckon works only when the pony is under the poison. Say the beckon is a blessing from Foust herself.

Since it's not a pony story use the god or goddess of love as the source of the blessing. Say you can even create a back story lore that some curse is what made it so easily turned into a poison and the god or goddess could not bear the idea of someone dieing form not finding love.
