TV Tropes Page Apple Bloom's Mansion

Someone made a TV Tropes page about the Apple Bloom's Mansion saga.

    Link.

I made quite the number of tropes without knowing, lol.

Subspace Army Tree Before Chapter 168

Here is the tree showing the officers' ranks in the Subspace Army before chapter 168. I advise to read the chapter first before seeing the image.

    "New" Story and New Group

I'm starting to write a new story, or not really. It will actually be a compilation of stories in the universe of UME. Tales From The Omniverse. More than a compilation, this is a group made by Cyrus Colter there. In this group, people will be able to post their Tales happening in UME's universes.

    Sizes Precision

With A Sweetie Dream Land's rewriting, I have changed some sizes.

As of the starts of A Sweetie Dream Land, Kirby was 20cm tall. A Waddle Dee is about 30cm, Dedede, about one meter, Meta Knight, over 30cm (maybe 35cm, not sure yet), and Sweetie Void, about 50cm.

By the time of The Forgotten Land, Kirby is 30cm tall, and Sweetie is about 60cm.

    Rewriting A Sweetie Dreamland

I'm going to start to rewrite A Sweetie Dreamland, essentially to change the verb tenses. I'm also going to change "Dreamland" to "Dream Land", maybe change a few lines here and there, and so on. I don't know how long it will take, but I think that I should be done before the end of February.

Ability Upgrades Ideas · 10:52pm Mar 4th, 2023

So, I have been trying to come up with original upgrades of Kirby's various Abilities, both the ones appearing in Forgotten Land and the ones that don't, and while some have pretty obvious possibilities (the weapon-type Abilities have almost an infinity of them), others are less (like the elemental-type Abilities such as Water or Spark).

I have spent days trying to find as many different possibilities of upgrades as I could for all the Abilities and came up with some, but I finally decided to ask for your help. So, do you have any idea of upgrades? Especially for the non-weapon-type Abilities?

I think there are a few ones people made on YouTube. Try checking there.

Where? I can't find anything.

Are you looking for different upgrades paths for the abilities or new abilities over all?

If I get an idea what route you want to take it I can help

Upgrades, like in Forgotten Land. Like, for the Sword, there is the Gigant Edge Sword, the Meta Knight Sword, and the Morpho Knight Sword. There are some Abilities like Water where I can't find any ideas of upgrades.

best i got is Metal to Mech.

A upgrade to the UFO that transforms Kirby into a Mothership from where Regular UFO Kirby copies come out and that Can charge up a Big Laser.( For reference,I'm Basically talking about Metal Slug 2 Final Boss.)

Y'all Can scream in terror now.

Poison basically is an upgrade to Water, having basically the same moveset but with the extra lingering damage stuff from its namesake. Similar deal for Metal to Stone, especially with how Kirby is using it at this point.

A bunch of canon upgrades are based on minibosses or bosses, so eg. Fatty Whale Water or Kracko Spark.

There's also the alternate hats from Super Kirby Clash; so you could expand those into actual upgrades like... Fatty Whale Water, again. :derpytongue2:

Mech is more of a Jet upgrade from what I remember seeing. Metal would upgrade into fantasy supermetals like Orichalcum or Hihi'irokane.

Maybe he means something like this?

Are you familiar with the Golden Sun series?
Some of the magic attacks ( that are suposed to be elemental psyquics attack ) probably could help you to get some ideas.

I think possible upgrades for the painter ability would be

Graffiti artist- Kirby would be holding spray can and can paint on any surface and damage enemies with sprays of paint

Digital artist- Kirby would carry a tablet and stylus and be able to copy and paste enemies or allies to make a temporary long lasting clone

5716639
What you are describing looks more like a Super Ability than a simple upgrade.
5716641
Good point about Water and Poison, and Stone and Metal.

I will have to go give a look at the hats from Super Kirby Clash. You are right, there could be some ideas.
5716642
5716649
Thanks! There are some nice ideas!
5716644
Sorry, but I don't know anything about Golden Sun.
5716645
Nice! Thanks!

If I see one of those videos, I’m PM the link.

I have a few that could work.
The first one would be whip and it would perform the same as it did in Return to Dreamland (flurry rush and drawing in objects. Its first upgrade would be a cat'o'nine tails whip covering more ground and its flurry rush acts as a shield to block incoming projectiles (or reflect them if you wish.) It's final upgrade would be a morning star, with moderate speed, but an incredible reach and power able grab enemies and faraway objects.

The second one would probably be ESP, with it's upgrades being focused on different psychokinetic abilities ( pyrokinesis, invisibility, etc.)

5716659
A morning star! *facepalm* Of course! The Whip was the weapon where I couldn't find anything to upgrade it.

For the ESP, with Ness around, it can work!

5716659
The morning star as an upgrade brings to mind certain Castlevania games. There's also potential for an electrified whip or thorn-covered vine.

Thank you so much for making this post, because I have been thinking about new Ability evolutions for a long time.

I have two for Metal: Light Metal, and Magnet Metal. Light Metal could just be Metal Kirby, but not as heavy so Kirby will still have his usual speed and jump height. And Magnet Metal could give Kirby the ability to attract metal objects and walk on metal walls or ceilings.

There's also some Japanese YouTuber who makes art of Kirby characters, and they recently made art of new Ability evolutions. Here's their user page.

5716675
Thanks! Light metal could be Titanium, or Aluminium. Not sure which would be the best one.

Water > Poison > Toxin
(Alt) Water > Hydro Pump > Hydro Cannon
(ALT) gives a simple water stream a distance and power upgrade.
Mounted on Sweetie Void: gains water control. If poison then is harmful on touch

Stone > Metal > Star Metal
(Alt) Stone > Bed Rock > Star Matter
Not much to say here and I agree with what the others said about stone just expanded here. Just different shapes for each upgrade each getting heavier. Note about the Star Matter: upgrade will pull everything near by to it and do harm with it's immense gravity, use with caution around allies.
Mounted on Sweetie Void: keeps what she found of stone but is constantly drawing to things in with her increased gravity also turns into the element of the upgrade.

Mirror > Absorb mirror > Portal master
Second upgrade can absorb energy or elemental attacks to use in a different location or to wait for a better time to attack. Third upgrade instantly opens holes in space time to redirect attacks instantly. Warning: fast or precog enemies can use portals to attack user
Mounted on Sweetie Void: becomes a lesser void being and still in control of herself. All attacks simply pass into her until she unleashes them at her will.

Wing > Hover Wing > Strike Wing
Second upgrade gives precision flying until user chooses to land. Attacks are a quick flurry of attacks. Third upgrade gives glide abilities but trades off quick attacks for powerful wing strikes that can even unleash gusts of wind.
Mounted on Sweetie Void: nothing new

Laser > precision Laser > Homing Laser
Second upgrade allows for aiming or sniping with the laser attack. Still has normal laser firing at this level. Third upgrade has the lasers homing to targets. This upgrade allows for targeting the homing laser to precise locations on a resilient foe.
Mounted on Sweetie Void: each upgrade gives an extra laser blaster (similar to her whip pieces) hovering around her that fire lasers automatically at foes. She can controll them but it's not required. One blaster for level one and so on. Each blaster can use the abilities of their level. At level 2 there is two blasters both will use precision shots automatically. At level three all three blasters will fire homing. Blasters can be directed when needed.

Plasma > Dark plasma > Solar Fury
Second upgrade: Kirby floats and no longer effected by moving ground or conver belts. Ground based attacks are no longer effective. Plasma attacks stronger. All plasma level one abilities. Third upgrade plasma becomes got like sun. Able to melt many metals fire cannot. Has all level one and level two abilities.
Mounted on Sweetie Void: movement slowly forms and maintains plasma shield that can be fired at any time in any direction.

New
Witch Doctor > Shaman > Warlock
Each level has a more complex wooden mask. Each level summons dozens of tiny (1/3 Kirby's height) with cutesy little masks that swarm Kirby's enemies. Kirby can support his minions and allies but cursing enemies with weaknesses to strength, defense, speed, evasion but only one curse at a time on a single enemy or the new curse will over write the old one. When mounted on Sweetie Void the little minions become little ponies with masks of all known tribes with more self control. Unicorns shoot magic and mini curses, pegasi fly and like to zap enemies with lightening while earth ponies attack straight on but are tough little things. Cute chaos here

(Bat) little league slugger > minor league slugger > major league slugger
Equips Kirby with a baseball bat. Each upgrade improves power of hits and distance of 'home runs'. (How long it takes for said foe to finally hit the ground).
Mounted on Sweetie Void: batters helmet appears on sweetie's head. Has forward baseball slide that damages enemies. Those that evade by jumping are batted away by Kirby.

5716677
Wow! That's a lot! Thanks!

You don't have to limit yourself to just two upgrades per Ability. They can have far more than that. Take Sword for example. Not only it has three upgrades in the game, it can have many more based on the various types of swords existing AND on legendary swords such as Link's Master Sword!

Laser > precision Laser > Homing Laser
Second upgrade allows for aiming or sniping with the laser attack. Still has normal laser firing at this level.

I actually already upgraded the Laser this way, bringing it up to date to a version more like most modern Abilities. I don't remember when exactly. Instead of just firing forward, Kirby can fire the laser in the direction he wants, and the visor allows Kirby to target and even to see in the dark or through smoke.

5716666
Sweetie could even imbue the whip with different elements such as fire, electricity, or even void magic.

5716680
I just kept it three for simplistically sake. Now if you wish to add more feel free I just figured I would cover the basics. :pinkiehappy:

Yo Lucar, did ya Played Pizza Tower yet,or you’re Currently Busy with other Game/Series/etc.?

5717024
Busy with Kirby.

Idk if you need anymore ideas, but what if Magolor told Kirby about the heroes he helped in the Dream Kingdom and Kirby made upgrades based on those classes?

Hero Sword gives him the barrier guard

Time Beam gives Beam Mage's time stopping ability

Healing Doctor gives the healing pools

Lord's Hammer makes Hammer WAAAAY stronger to the point where it even surpasses Masked Hammer

5716727
I forgot to mention this, but the first two were something you could already do in Star Allies. Elemental imbuements on several of the "weapon" abilities were a thing used to solve puzzles (like using a flaming sword to both cut a rope that a giant bomb was hanging by and light it to use as a fuse in a single swing).
