New Plan

There was a story on Fimfiction that I really enjoyed, it was called Challenges of Sobriety in a Weekend of Confines, unfortunately, it is no longer around on Fimfiction. It was a story of recovery from tragedy focused around Rainbow Dash and Applejack in Applejack's attempts to help Rainbow recover. In this story, Rainbow Dash became an alcoholic after a car accident that killed her parents and worst for her, her little sister Scootaloo. Since their deaths, she has shut herself in her home and drank away the days until Applejack locked herself in the house for the weekend. Over the weekend they spend time together and Applejack helps Rainbow start to recover and by the end Rainbow throws away the alcohol, has started to repair her house, and is even willing to come with Applejack to see their friends again. The top moments of the story were when Rainbow Dash takes Applejack to Scootaloo's room, where it is in the same condition it had been left in, and watches Rainbow do a ritual of talking to Scootaloo like she is tucking her into bed, the second time Applejack goes to the room when Rainbow is unable and finds a picture of her and Rainbow that Scootaloo drew, and when Rainbow writes a song for Applejack that ends in them kissing. It was a really sad but well-written story with a hopeful ending and while it is gone I don't want to see it completely forgotten.
