Bandy remains the king of condesning. They compact much in little, and after a paragraph, you need a few seconds to digest and appreciate it. Bandy places importance on the interesting bits, each dressed delightfully differently.

A passage:

Spike soared free of Ambergrease’s reach. He swooped down and scooped up Rarity and the one-eyed doll. Then they were airborne. Then their faces were inches apart. Then their faces were no inches apart.
He sure knows how to be dramatic, thought Rarity as she melted into the kiss.
“Hey,” said Spike in a sultry voice. “Come here often?”
Rarity looked ahead of them and felt her heart leap into her throat, and it wasn’t just because of the kiss. “Pull up! Pull up!”
Spike’s back claws brushed the stairs. He pitched up just in time to clear the lip of the last stair.

The prose doesn't prattle. It doesn't concern itself with exact description or accuracy (which have their place). Instead, we go from beat to beat, finding the right depth for each. Rarity is plucked, their faces are apart, and then their faces are no longer apart. There is little fanfare, instead, the right level enjoyment of such a passage. And it's described in such a way as to keep the beat interesting.

I could discuss how well Bandy handles and plays off his characters. You truly believe this is Spike, that is Rarity, and this is a believable time in their relationship. Bandy knows how to play to all the fields as even as they get down, they handcuff Spike due to his ability, but the cuffs don't do much for a dragon. But he still wears them because he's a good boy.

There's never a missed moment or beat. Bandy hits all the notes in a compact time and bows out when the moment is nice.

They're just finished a long story that I don't doubt is as wonderful as their other works.
