Hey everybody! How's it going? Good? I hope so, because ouch.
Sometimes, writing is hell...
This is taking a long time. I've been rewriting the same thousand or so words for about two weeks now. Why? Because I'm caught in the conondrum of deciding what's important to share and what's not. This is one of those landings I need to stick, and I'm running up against a creative decision that I've been admittedly postponing regarding one of the characters that is now coming to a head. Specifically, how to reveal it that is most satisfying. It will be one of the major reveals either in this chapter or an upcoming one, depending on how it shakes out. I did figure a method out that hadn't crossed my mind that is much speedier than what I had originally planned, hence why this is taking forever. My scraps folder has received many words over the past two weeks.
Sorry for the delay. Sometimes writing takes a while, especially when gaming is such a tantalizing escape for writer's... I don't want to say block as it's progressing slowly, but it is admittedly slowly. Writer's slog? Writer's tar pits? Hasn't been helping that teaching is coming down to the wire of the year and some days I just don't want to do anything when I get home.
Anyway, I've got one class coming up in about 20 minutes and then three periods of uninterrupted writing time to work through this.

Just remember that the best way to get through writer's block, is with writer's termites.
The fact that we can't wait for a new chapter doesn't mean you should publish it as soon as possible. We want a great story; regular updates are just a (big) bonus
So far, you have done great! I doubt that that's gonna change
