I've been asked this question for a long time and I really didn't have an answer to that at the time. The main six have different personalities with different traits, making it hard for me to choose but... Now I can definitively say that Fluttershy is my best pony. Kindness is an amazing virtue that can change lives when shown and can create a bond stronger than most, strengthening and guaranteeing a friendship for life. yet again, sharing that kindness with the wrong person could lead to being used for their own gain. You'd have to careful. I remember being shown
kindness and I remember giving it back in return. It's a brilliant feeling. Me and him now are friends for life thanks for that simple element.

What do you think? Who is your best pony and why?
You what I can’t answer that but I do like them all but the two or three that stick out to me are applejack and fluttershy. Since I can relate to them both in someway, since I do care about animals and am a little bit shy and anti social. But I will try to show kindness in turn. And applejack well, she has a large family and shows brutal honesty and has common sense out of all the six or real life applications that sometimes, even friendship can’t be a problem fixer all the time.
Mostly it’s just the south side/country side of her since, I’m also from the south too.
I won’t tell where but it’s close to the Gulf of Mexico and gets hurricanes a lot

Cold hard fact - none of them, because everything can be tainted. To each of their virtues is a bad side and even virtue itself could extend into a dark category. For example : if someone is suffering from a untreatable wound - you can end their suffering by killing them, hence - showing kindness.

Every one of the main 6 has a flip side :
Tainted Kindness = Cruelty
Tainted Loyalty = Betrayal
Tainted Honesty = Duplicity
Tainted Generosity = Greed
Tainted Laughter = Gloom
Tainted Friendship = Manipulation
I could go on and even create a whole story, where Discord choose 3 Heralds of Chaos, name them Madness, Violence and Anguish. Hell, even just creating the 'tainted' versions of Main 6 is enough. Making new 6 live alongside with originals and embrace them as another part of them.
