    Cold War Kaijus

So I won't lie, all of what I'm gonna show to you is made using AI. But I'm not using these as the "Finished looks", but these are more of concepts, as I'm terrible at drawing, and don't have cash to pay someone to draw them. But this is the main idea:

Chrismas time! · 3:35pm Dec 25th, 2022

Happy Holidays to everyone! I know, this year has been very slow on my end, as I haven't written anything this year past March. I'm not gonna go into the huge details, since it's really just work and playing video games to pass the time. I really should get to writing, and I very likely will at the start of next year. Will I keep writing? … I hope so.

Yesterday was hellish, working at Walmart outside, collecting carts... At least I got to leave early and spend time with my mom that night. We went and watched Violent Night, which really was Die Hard, with some Home Alone, and the gore of Deadpool, starring Santa himself. My mom didn't like it (and was probably a bit tipsy), but her boyfriend and I did. Definitely worth the watch, and I'll definitely rewatch it again each year.

But this isn't really why I'm posting this here, it's more of something fun. Though I haven't been writing on Fimfic a lot, the real thing I have been doing, next to work and gaming, is brainstorming and creating things that aren't pony related. Obviously, I wouldn't be able to publish them here, not unless it's set in an AU of Equestria, but if any of you are curious, all of them share the same trope: Kaijus.

From Godzilla, to Pacific Rim, and hell, The Power Rangers, I LOVE watching giant monsters (and giant robots) beat the crap outta each other! It could be for many reasons, though I'm more gearing to the idea of everyone looking up to something in fear and/or respect, as it can't be taken down by any normal means.

Now, I have 3 major ideas I've been brainstorming and slowly working on in my own free time. I'll go over them a bit briefly, but I hope that many of these ideas at least intrigue you. In order, these are the following:

-The Cold Kaiju War

-American Monsters

-Kaiju King.

The Cold Kaiju War

It's all set in an alternate timeline to our own, where, after the bombs were dropped on Japan in WWII, a monster emerged, a giant monster emerged from the atomic aftermath shortly. Though its reign of terror was short lived, the world learned it was possible that it was possible to make their own monster, but what about controlling it? This is where Stalin and the Soviet Union stepped in, creating their own Kaiju with their nuclear testing, all by using their national animal, the Eurasian Brown Bear.

Shortly after learning that the Soviets had a monster of their own, one that could be sent to destroy America and be near indestructible if it lived long enough, Harry Truman and the USA government started making their own Kaiju, using a bald eagle as the base.

Soon, America's allies (NATO) and The Soviet Union's (The Warsaw Pact) make their own Kaijus, their own warrior that'd protect their land and be ready to fight at will.

Obviously, most of the main focus is on America's Bald Eagle Kaiju… not entirely, but they are the focus. If any of you are wondering, they're all bipedal, being somewhat Humanoid in shape (for the birds, now having arms with hands that end with talons) and are intelligent enough to be sentient. Though they can't talk, they do understand many things, and can learn.

Most of you may not know, but Kaiju are giant, walking political metaphors, even if it doesn't seem like it. Overly Sarcastic Productions did a great video about it, which can be viewed right here. But these Kaiju represent a common theme: Country Pride and Nationalism. We may be proud of our own country, but to many other folks, we can be seen as either utter morons or the scariest monsters to them that'll ruin their ways of life. And inside our countries, how far is too far with the government, and where should we stand? Here, this is an exploration of America's Kaiju and what it means to be a true American, even if it isn't a human.

But to make it fun (at least to me), I've made it that the average height for a Kaiju is 150 meters tall. And for the weight? Well, I did a lot of math, and to make it easy, I separated the animals based on their kind, which, lucky for me, is only two; Mammals and Birds (Meaning that both bird and mammals are 150 meters tall, simply because birds are usually smaller than mammals). And to make sure the weight remained consistent (as well as get an idea of what body type the Kaijus have), Body Mass Index (BMI), also consistent with the birds and mammals.

American Monsters

An alternate timeline as well, this one beginning in the 60's, when an alien invasion tried to attack the USA. Our government fought back, and won, using our nuclear weaponry to take down their mother ship. But though we won, another problem popped up almost immediately; various UFOs crashed near each state's capital, leaking ooze, which got over a certain state animal, making them a giant mutated monster that went on a rampage, attacking and destroying the city they're nearby.

Though this may sound bleak, in the North East regions, Vince McMahon Sr, chairman and CEO of WWE, watched as many these monsters fought against each other, but reframed from killing each other, very likely just confused as to what's happening. That's when he gets a wild idea, one that, though needed some time, should more than make him millions.

Smash cut to modern times, and Americans get wild for The Monster Wrestling League (MWL), where cleared areas, typically in National parks and run down parts of the city, become battlegrounds for these titans, with helicopters recording the action above and becoming makeshift spotlights at night.

50 Kaiju total, averaging about 50 Meters tall, all named after the State capitol they, inadvertently, destroyed (and helps determine their sex), and wrestling each other with millions watching. Yeah, you can probably tell, but this is somewhat inspired by that movie, Rumble, but is now a bit of a commentary on the Entertainment industry and state pride. Same as the Cold Kaiju War, these ones are also sentient and have their own personalities, typically being a stereotype of the state they live in. But unlike it, where I can imagine Cold Kaiju War being something like a graphic/novel, this one may work better as some comic book series, or an animated show with multiple seasons.

Oh, and just for fun, since I live in Arizona, my state's Kaiju is Phoenix: The Ridge Nosed Rattlesnake. Complete with limbs, and having venom that, while fatal to us, is used to ruin her opponent's perception. She'd be nicknamed "The Feminine Venom".

KAIJU KING

This one isn't set in an alternate timeline, but in the far future! Earth becomes too heavily radiated from pollution, and Humans leave through spaceships or an experimental portal leading to a different dimension. But thousands of years have passed, and earth has healed, with nature taking back everything, and the animals having become giant mutants themselves. In space, the humans that left have returned, and seeing the wildlife, came prepared, creating huge mechs that can clear foliage and fight the giant beasts. But the humans that escaped through the portal have also returned, but are now servants to giants that are, essentially, fantasy creatures, who see earth as a new home for their kingdom. And if you think that's weird, in space, an alien race sees earth, and the giant creatures on it, forcing some of their own soldiers to forcefully evolve into giants themselves, fight these creatures, and take Earth as a way to save their dying planet. Now it's a 4 way war to see who claims earth, as the creatures, though not necessarily together, will defend their home from these strange intruders.

This entire thing is a game, a brawler focused battle royale with giant monsters, and different maps with their own fun gimmicks. A mix between War of the Monsters, and Rumbleverse, with 4 different factions, and 4 playable characters for each, all a different class. (Fighter, Tank, Scout, and Medic). A total of 16, and following the TF2 approach, instead of adding a new character every so often, it's just these 16 giants, and using Injustice 2, you'll earn new gear that affects your looks and stats. But if you're afraid someone's gear is OP, you can choose to join a game where gear is prosthetics only.

Won't go into crazy detail, but each character may be a reference to something, but done in it's own twist to still be somewhat original. Really, I just want folks to have a fun time, even if they lose, I want them to be like "Just one more game".
