Question of the Week #82 · 5:35am Dec 4th, 2022
Hello everyone and welcome back to the question of the week.
Well, I'm down with a head cold... Fun.
Still I'm going to try to ask you all a question even if it is a bit late.
Now as many of you know, I am a writer and some of you may recall that I have mentioned working on my own original work. While I'm not willing to go into too many details on the story as of yet, I do have a question pertaining to a potential theme in the story.
So normally for us, Halloween is a holiday where we "humans" pretend to be monsters and ghouls, but what if Halloween was a day when creatures from another dimension come to our world and blend in? What if this world aside from the monsters and some Halloween themes, it is very much like our own?
What do you think of such a setting? Would you read a book if it had these themes?
And that's the question(s) of the week. Thank you all for reading this blog, I hope you all have a wonderful day.
the setting is pretty cool and I would read a book about it
Seconded
Pretty sure that's a common conceit in urban fantasy, that the "monstrous" among us use Halloween to take masks off rather than put them on.
5701539 True, but I like it.
Same, it's hilarious to dress up as the thing you are. Especially if you use a bad costume, like cardboard-box robot levels.
