Two releases of C&C M-rated updates down, one to go · 8:11pm Nov 17th, 2022
The last set will be chapters 23-25, with another brief but intense M-rated scene in Part 25. I had intended to release it tonight, but I’m going to delay a couple days to allow my prereaders a chance to catch up to it and give myself a break. So be looking for it this weekend.
Have to be honest. For the first time in a couple months, it feels like I might be approaching burnout after the massive push I’ve put on all my stories. Also not helping is that I’m off next week, which is only a good thing when I get there. Until then, I have to be pushing hard at work to make sure my stuff is done before departing, and a software release the following weekend means I have to stick close to home for Thanksgiving. Oh well.
Actually, it feels like I may need a break from clop in general right now, but my only option there is pushing ahead on Continuation and Chronicles, where no further adult action is planned in the next couple chapters for reasons I expect are obvious. Or actually, Nightmare Night might count given I intend the climactic chapters to be much heavier on epic battle action and light on clop. The coming duel between Ascended Sunset and Corrupted Twilight is a fight I’ve been eager to write. Here’s hoping I can do it justice and satisfy readers while still having something left over for the main event of Midnight vs Eclipse.
One final note on Feathered Hearts: I have requests from a couple readers to have alternate T-rated versions of future R or M-rated chapters so those who don’t like clop can continue to follow the story, or failing that, at least make sure clop areas are clearly marked. Even though I know from experience what a royal pain in the flank it is to maintain two versions of the same chapters, I’m leaning towards different versions right now so as not to lose any further readers.
It’s not ideal, and if the story had been M-rated from the start, I wouldn’t have bothered. But existing readers who are here for the gun and war porn as opposed to the M-rated kind need to be accommodated. I’ll make the decision whether to do dual chapter versions after the M-rated upgrades are complete. If it ends up being different versions, then you will see a T-rated version of Part 29 posted eventually.
PS: Read counts on the updated M-rated chapters are somewhat light, which maybe isn’t too surprising, but if folks are willing, I would like some feedback on them. Thanks, Black--Soul, for all your continuing comments on them.
Im happy to hear you are getting off from work the next week! I do wish for you to take as much time of from Clop, or writing in general for a little bit. It's better for you to recoup (is it the right word..?) your batteries for the next time, rather than keep pushing and trying to write something that doesn't give you the appreciation it once gave.
