I am a beautiful flower! · 4:08am Nov 3rd, 2022

I've been playing around with stable diffusion AI-generated images, and this is what it thinks my profile pic is, if it were photorealistic.

Yes, once I can get the pony-based learning data, I'll be trying to make some AI-generated cover art for stories. ^.^
THE FUTURE IS NOW, OLD MAN!

(Takes me about 2-5 minutes to generate an image from a text prompt and/or a starter image, at least on my hardware. Maybe it's time to upgrade to that 3080 I've had my eyes on...)

You know what? Throw me a prompt, and I'll try it out for you! (SFW, obviously. And pony-specific stuff probably won't turn out well yet. I haven't installed that library yet.)

If nothing else that is a nice picture :moustache:

I just need to find somewhere to use it... I actually really do like how nicely it color-matches my profile pic! ^.^

I don't know...

AIs don't have the artistic fiber and all the feeling that goes with it, but strangely I find that this flower retranscribes quite well the underlying of the original image.

Replace your main's avatar with it. Nobody sane will be able to tell. :trollestia:

You are a beautiful flower.

With a pearl in the middle.

This AI thing is really trying to butter you up. :rainbowlaugh:

the ai may have been off, but you got a very lovely picture out of it

I recommend NovelAI. I was turned off by the monthly payment at first, but it's leaps and bounds better than anything else out there imo. And they value privacy first, and do not even save your images. You can generate anything you like and they auto delete everything, meaning you just have to remember to save it. NovelAI's entire thing is they were made to counter AI Dungeon's terrible censorship, and they have kept this promise as best they could for the imagine AIs. I've been able to generate anything I could with the furry models for the GUI local versions, and usually with MUCH less effort.

Oh, and their furry model doubles as a pony model. They don't advertise this, but it's actually just as good, if not better, than the pony models made for the local SD.

I know this sounds like an ad, but I really do like thek that much. The prices are fair too, though I'd recommend the 25$/month one as you get infinite generations for small and medium images up to 28 steps and one image at a time. Cheaper than buying a new GPU, at least! Editing costs credits though, but you get 10k a month credits in a addition to the already infinite generations with this tier, and you ALSO get unlimited usage out of their writing AI AND can train said writing AI using those sake tokens.

It also only takes a couple seconds per images usually.

looks nice and I hope everything is going great for you. Also where did you find the AI stuff?

That is a beautiful flower. Are you sure the AI isn't flirting with you?

I think it just comes down to the layout, aesthetics, and color choices, which the AI has managed to mostly preserve from the original artist ... while also transforming it into a flower instead.

Nobody sane will be able to tell because there's nobody sane on Fimfic.

I like butter.

Yeah, a *lot* of what it's given me so far is a bit off. But some of it's good anyway!

Are they open source, though? I really like using open source software.
And plus, I just really like the complete control I get from running it on my own PC. (And plus, you know, free.) At some point, I might even start looking into how to program my own models for it.

I think a big reason the PonyAI image creator often messes up the genitals is because it's using training data that has A) human-style genitals, B) anatomically correct (closed) genitals, and C) anatomically correct winking genitals, and their AI model was trained on that data with the three types all mixed up and inadequately tagged. Maybe someday I'll figure out how to build my own model, and I'll start by doing so with segregated data sets, which will hopefully make it turn out much better and more consistent. Of course, that's long-term plans. I haven't even gotten the existing furry and pony models loaded in yet!

I mainly used this guide to get as far as I've gotten now. That's linux-specific, though. There are plenty of other guides out there on how to get it working in Windows, though a lot of it will be similar.
It is pretty hardware-intensive, though. Even though it does most of its processing on the GPU, the CPU load is still pretty impressive too. So far, this is the only practical thing that has ever gotten my 32-core Threadripper above 50% usage.

I should give it a series of increasingly salacious prompts and see where this goes...

While I understand only wanting to use something open source on your own computer--the exact mindset I had before I started using NovelAI--I'd still at least give it a shot. It's honestly blown my mind how good it is, the UI is top-notch too imo. At least the image generation UI. The opening page and writing AI stuff itself needs work. And it's only going to get better as they keep working on it.

NovelAI's furry model also seems OVERLY trained on mare genitals, meaning I'll get mare pussy on things I don't want it on, to the point I have to put 'horse pussy' in unwanted. Naturally, this means with the right prompt it excels at MLP lewds, and it looks very natural a lot of the time. While I obviously can't share those outputs, I recommend joining the 'Furry Diffusion' discord; it has posts from like all the models currently available, including some really good stuff from NovelAI. But mostly the open-source stable diffusion models. It'll give you an idea just what's possible with the right prompts, though I swear I can get outputs that look good without any touchups with NovelAI, but I can never get those with the hardware versions. I always have to inpaint to fix all the messups. So while NovelAI does mess up a bunch too, it feels a lot better at getting good outputs in a much shorter time.

I'd share some sfw results, but uploading things to an image hosting site then pasting the link like Fimfiction requires is ugh.
