Progress Report V: A Little Break · 3:20pm Oct 31st, 2022

Hey everyone! This one will be kept relatively brief compared to the other entries.

I haven't tried to do this, but so far I've stuck to a weekly schedule of releasing chapters on Wednesday. That said, this week will probably be without an update. Progress is still being made, but it's pretty non-linear. I've been writing quite a bit, but I've been jumping to other parts of the story, and unfortunately none of that has been anything in chapter four. However, this isn't because I'm stuck! It's just easier to connect the dots when you know where the next dots are.

That, combined with some personal happenings and health issues (don't worry, I am totally fine now) I've been having over the past week, have led me to the decision to take a very short break from writing. Will I be back with the new chapter next week around this time? I won't say for certain, but there's a good chance I will. If not, I will almost definitely be back the week after.

Other than that, there's a SciSet one-off story I wrote while writing chapter 3 of my current story, and I've been thinking about touching it up and sending it off to be proofread just to post on its own. While I love where this SunShyne story is headed, I couldn't resist the siren's song of "Write More SciSet Fluff". It's an event that's extremely vaguely hinted at somewhere in CYSWIS, but it's written in a way that makes it (mostly) independent from the main story itself. I may or may not post that sometime soon. Part of me wants to hold off until I finish this project, but I have no idea how long it'll take me to do that.

I'll be spending the week doing Generative Experiences™. That's my way of saying I'll be reading/listening to/watching stuff for inspiration lol.
