Twilight Sparkle knew she was a smart filly. She was in the School of Magic after all, Celestia’s personal student even. She had a great family and baby sitter too. So why did she have to be so stupid and end up throwing it to burn.

Twilight is missing, her friends wake up in a strange and confusing world. What happened? How did they escape the battle against the knights of order? Where is Applejack's hat?

They don't find answers to their questions but they do find an undesirable new friend...

Over the years Spike and the rest of the Elements of Harmony have seen a dramatic change with Rarity, even going so far as to degrade the quality, the uniqueness of her dresses. Only after confronted by Twilight and breaking Spike's heart does she finally see what has become of herself. Determined to fix it though, she sets out across the land of Equestria to try and rediscover who she is.

Celestia talks to Luna after she sends Twilight a living pony as a Hearth's Warming gift. Things only go downhill from there.

Once discovered, a mare's voice tells of a lost colony on the edge of the galaxy, and begs for rescue before issuing these last words: "I am sorry... I hope this was enough..."
