Big Macintosh went through a lot when he was young. Losing both parents and becoming the man of the house can put a lot a pressure on a young man.

Seeking relief, he turned to a style of music he'd never heard before. This new interest led him to a girl. This particular girl was a fledgling DJ who also went to the same school as him.

Unexpectedly, he is given the opportunity to finally speak with the DJ at a friend's party.

It was supposed to be an easy way back home. Jump into the quicksand pit, go through the portal to Equestria beneath it, sneak through Ponyville, get to Twilight's Castle's Basement, go through the Magic Mirror, and before she knew it, Sunset and all of her friends and everyone they rescued from that sinking cruise ship would find themselves on the manicured green lawns of Canterlot High.

Instead, they wake up scattered around the quicksand pit, still on the desert tropical island they were trying to escape. Only there isn't a portal to Equestria anymore. And none of them can get a cell phone signal.

And then Bon Bon's phone lights up.

Recently, during Prince Blueblood's trip to Manehattan, he was completely attacked. All investigators were able to get was a recording of a phone call between the perpetrators of the crime and a made-up couple seconds before it began. Based on the conversation, the following information about the perpetrators was obtained:

“The leader” is the organizer and overseer of the entire operation. Very lazy, very impulsive to loud noises, greedy. It's impossible to determine.

“Pizza foal” is a pizzeria worker, presumably in his late teens. Responsible for phone service within the operation. Not proactive, quiet, modest, rarely participated in dialog.

“Fanatic” is the one who attacked the prince. Based on recorded conversation, extremely fanatical about serving the night. Whatever it is. Cold, calm, and confident. Of all the participants, he was the one who had the most dislike for the prince.

It's been two months since Spike began his monthly visits to Canterlot, his friendship with Luna and Donut Joe growing as his friendships back at home seem to be waning due to the success his Ponyville friends had at the Gala.

Trying to put aside his anxieties for one night, Spike once again goes to hang out with Luna and Joe, but with the donut shop owner away on business, the young dragon takes charge to ensure the pair have a great night anyway.

He just hopes that he doesn't ruin it himself.
