I'm... torn. On one hoof, it looks like typical MLP goodness (humanized or not). On the other hoof, it looks like a piece of shit teeny-bopper girl's cartoon, that furthers all the girly stereotypes that Faust worked so hard to fight down with MLP in the first place.

Doesn't help that it's practically a typical, cliche Pony-on-Earth fanfic turned into a movie. Although I will admit, the premise of Twilight winding up in a human high school and meeting humans that are basically doppelgangers of her pony friends, (and Spike's a dog), is rather original. But Spike's a dog, I mean come on! That's... horribly shameful to the little guy. What does Twilight say to him when she gets back?

"Yea Spike! All these humans were just like my friends!"

"Was I there Twilight? Huh? Huh?"

"Yea! But you were a dog!"

"COOL- waitaminute, did you say a dog?"

"Yea, a cute wittle puppy!"

"I'm... just a dog?" Spike sulks as he questions his own self worth. Later he jumps off the side of Canterlot, and dies a miserable, lonely death.

Kid's show or not, the least they could do is have dog-Spike dry hump human-Rarity's leg. If they put that gag in this movie, it will be its only saving grace if the rest sucks.

Here's another question? Do we go see this movie?

Think. If we see it, we give Hasbro monies and their execs think they done good. Whether or not it's good. If we don't, there is still a chance it will be good, no matter how miniscule, and then we'd miss it.

Hi guys! Yes, I'm still alive. Sadly I'm in that phase where I'm not writing a lot, and what little I am writing is divided amongst 5 different stories. Don't worry though, I still have plans for Last, it's certainly my number 1 story, so I treat it like it is.

Ok random stuff:

Check out this group, which I recently found and firgured Last should be in it. They have a reviewing process for stories, but Last was exempt due to so many upvotes!

Check out this story. It has too few likes for what I consider a great story with a very original plot. At least I haven't seen any other fics along the same lines. Go give it some love.

This story just pisses me off. I like it, don't get me wrong, but really it's only half-assedly decent. And yet simply because it has pokemon involved, it gets almost as many upvotes as Last. And that's saying something. To the writer, I like the story, even have it faved and gave it a thumb too. It's not your fault, so no negativity towards you. Hell, I'll even congratulate you on the massive number of upvotes.

But really it just irks me to no end that a story that I poured my heart and soul into, a story that I cried writing several chapters, a story that I myself have become miserably depressed while writing it in attempt to just make it that much better for my beloved audience... is on the same popularity level as a simple, plain-Jane HiE whose only quark and defining feature is that the main characters have been turned into pokemon.

Granted, I'm not exactly one to talk when it comes to cheapshots for story... shall we say, advertising? Dash Eats Meat, case in point. Weird attention grabbing title and cover pic. Hell, it worked.

Anyhow, onto other things.

My upcoming changeling fic is delayed. I'm sorry guys, I got you all worked up for it too. The first 2 chapters are polished to a mirror shine, but that damn third chapter is kicking my ass. I have literallty no idea what to write for it, and I'd like to at least have an idea of what I'm gonna do with it, so I know I can produce later chapters.

Other than that... life as usual. I could blame life for me not writing much anymore, but really, my muse is just MIA. That bitch can't stay gone for long though. Work hasn't been really different lately, a little on the slow side perhaps. We got some new toys though! An exhaust pipe bender, a parts washer, mig welder, and a bunch of shelves... which would mean spring cleaning time around the shop, I guess.

Other large gaping holes that I throw my time into these days tend to be DOTA 2 (great game, and it's free), and this Celestia-forsaken oscilloscope. You know, one of those little screens that show you wave patterns? Yea, grandpa gave it to me when he was cleaning out his garage. It's from 1960 and doesn't work worth a damn. I tried finding an old-timey TV repair man who can deal with tubes, but alas, few exist. I've decided to handle it myself, and it'll undoubtedly take countless hours to replace all the bits inside that thing. At least I have a tube tester. Thing's a life saver when it comes to old shit like this (thanks grandpa!).

My 1 year anniversary on fimfic is coming up, so I decided to go look back at the story that introduced me as a producer-of-words here. And geez, it looked rather low on the quality scale for something with my name on it. I'm a little surprised it was as popular as it was back then, something like 50 likes in the first couple days. Sure it's free of errors and the like, but it just reads kinda crappy.

But it still holds a special place in my heart, so I decided to rewrite it just a bit. Of course I didn't change any of the story or anything, no need to re-read it unless you feel like reminiscing like I do.

Absolutely and completely done. This chapter of my life will be on a page I'll never return to. Thanks, to all of my loyal viewers, but writing stories of mlp is just becoming a burden in my life that I don't have time for anymore. Business is picking up at my shop and I'm going to have to stay later from now on anyway.

I wish to sincerely thank you, my follower, for all the support and feedback you all have given me. Who knows? Maybe someday I'll have time to write a novel. I enjoy writing, I really do. Nothing quite matches the unique taste of the satisfaction I get when someone tells me they've cried reading something I wrote.

Sadly, though, ponies are starting to bore me. And though I was once proud to call myself a brony, all the scumbags in the community have finally worn down my patience and tolerance. I'm done with neckbeard basement dwellers and emotionally unstable 12 year olds. And all the pedophiles who read foalcon. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.

And I do regret to inform you that all future updates to any of my stories, including Last Brony, are cancelled. It does sadden me to know that nobody will get to read any of the 3 stories that I've yet to publish. The changeling one seemed really promising. I just... lost the inspiration. It's just gone.

So it is with a heavy heart that I bid you all adieu. But I do have one final thing to say: look at the date. April Foals!

My legs are shaking. It's always a little strange to be around so much emotion and ponies after I've been out of the game for a while, but I'm not usually antsy like this. It's like subconsciously I know I should probably avoid ponies like the plague right now, after the whole invasion fiasco. They're probably all on red alert for changelings. But another part of my brain is telling me I don't have much of a choice. I have to eat, so I soldier on.

Oooooh... let's make that two!

Why should I answer her? "Why should I tell you anything…?"

Twilight looks me up and down. "You don't have much of a choice, do you?"

"Oh don't I? Like this cage is gonna force me to answer." Maybe I should have worded that better…

"We can do this the easy way or the hard way," she nonchalantly states.

My eyes go wide for a second. Was that a threat? Did she just threaten me? I mean, I know we're supposed to fear them, but could a pony really… I mean, they're so smiley and innocent… she's a freakin' librarian… I don't think one of them could really bring themselves to… beat information out of a prisoner…

It will be a bit dark. But not on the level of Cupcakes gore and stuff.

Hi guys! Yep, that's right. Though I'll still claim to be a master mechanic even if I'm 6 certifications away from it officially But I digress. As a sort of half-ass thank you to all my awesome followers, I thought I'd show off share with you some of my stick-figure, chicken scratch drawings.

Since I finally finished this one last night, I thought it was appropos for all of yous who've read Dash Eats Meat. Which, if you haven't, you should really do that right now. It's only 1k words or so. You know, from back in the day when awesome oneshots could be only 1k words...

Dat awkward moment. When you realize your best friend eats dead animals. And you want to try some. I'm quite happy with how this turned out. Drawing hands is hard... hooves are so much easier! Doesn't help that Gilda's 'hands' are a criss-cross between human hands and eagle talons. Yes, that is a hay sandwich. Yes, G's takeout bag is soaked with grease. Mmmm... grease.

Yea, it's a redraw (not a trace!) of a frame from the show, but with a different facial expression. And fuck that cartoon cello. I went all out on that string-ed instrument. Took twice as long to draw IT than it did HER. Worth it.

UPDATES!

OMG! - Eh... still have a ton of chapters written for it. They all need a bit of work though. Won't be long before the next update though! However, each one's gonna be like 1500 words...

Last - 2500 words and counting. I have a solid plan for this chapter, I'm expecting about 4k. I have been working on it!

Getting Captured Sucks - 1st 2 chapters are spit-shined and ready to go. Still having a hard time with that title though! What should it be? I can't decide! It's a depressing fic about a changeling who gets captured... and well, experimented on by Twilight. I love the current title but it screams COMEDY! And despite my usual dose of humor, it's not...

Everything else - on hold. Sorry...

Anyhue. Speaking of trades. Did I mention that I'm a mechanic? If, by any extraordinary chance, one of yous actually possesses an 'auto-mobile' and you live near Chicago, I'd be happy to give you a brohoof discount on any car repair. But just to level the playing field (or some other cliché analogy that might fit better), let's take a not-so objective look back at the whole season.

Crystal Empire 1+2

Good:

-Pinkie is Sam Fisher and a jester

-Failure Song with Spike singing backup

-Crystal fucking ponies!

-Yet another bad thing that happened 1000 years ago, fanfics++

-Fluttershy and Dash joisting

-Spike saves the day and gets a stained glass window in the castle

-Shiny throws his wife over the balcony.

-Berry Punch was in the stands watching the joisting

Bad:

-Sombra sucked. He had plenty of potential, his character was just written poorly. I get that he could have been like Sauron from LOTR, the dark mysterious force of evil that you never really see, but you fear. But he wasn't even that. Nopony seemed particularly scared of him. Concerned, yes. Like one is concerned about a nasty storm that's supposed to come around tomorrow. Not concerned like fate of thousands of innocent lives, and the possibility for all out bloody war.

Ugly:

-Did you see Cadence? She looked like shit. By the end I was yelling at the TV, 'someone get that bish a cup of coffee!'

Too Many Pinkie Pies

Good:

-A nice, old fashioned, simple MLP episode. Dare I say: classic? A callback to the simpler days of season 1, when we loved the show for just being silly, funny, and heart touching. And not for complex plots and stuff like that.

-Twilight turns a frog and a bird into mutated half-oranges, and doesn't even care.

-Pinkie clones herself. I mean come on!

-Pinkie breaks the laws of physics… ah, but this time she was directly called out on it. When she jumped into the lake and slowed down in mid-air. Dash actually asked her, 'how'd you do that?'

-Various Pinkie shenanigans

-Hands joke

-G3 joke

-An actual friendship problem/plot

Bad:

-Nopony notices there's only one Pinkie who's all depressed.

Ugly:

-Celestia's monologue actually started to sell me on the idea of Twilicorn.

-Twi's speech was kind of touching.

-Shiny cried and called it 'liquid pride' like a baws.

-Dash flipped shit when she saw Twi had wings

-Hub made a pony knockoff of the Dos Equis most interesting man commercials. Laughed my ass off.

-Too much singing. Most of the songs were good, but… whether you call it a musical or not, it felt as though they were trying to use the songs to fill time and make up for a lacking plot. Filler. In a season finale. That's HALF as long as it should be. For shame.

-And DESPITE all the musical numbers, THERE WAS NO RARITY / OCTAVIA DUET!

-AND NO DRAGON FLUTTERSHY!

-Am I mistaken in thinking that Twilight did not actually do anything magical to reverse the spell? All she did was point her friends in the right direction. That's hardly 'creating magic.' It's more like fixing your own fuck up.

-Twilight's a fucking alicorn. Yes, it makes sense. The culmination of all her training and experience. It was the obvious thing to happen. But it should have been saved for an epic SERIES finale, and not just thrown into a 20 minute season finale just because, and I quote (paraphrase): 'little girls like princesses.'

-Twi's gonna live forever and watch all her friends die :)

-Luna had not a single line.

Ugly:

-Some bits at the end were recycled from the wedding. Twi's parents crying, the crowd outside the castle, etc.

-Twi's cutie mark that appears in her eyes has 6 little white stars. Not the usual 5. Unless that's like her alicorn cutie mark or something.

-Celestia has been watching Twi this whole time. Apparently quite literally. A wee bit disturbing.

I'd say, over all, I'm content with season 3. It gave us plenty of good, and although a couple things rustled my jimmies, I think the good still outweighs the bad. Even if I only say that because Sleepless in Ponyville made me cry.

In other news, OMG! is doing well, not quite featured, but lingering around the popular box for a couple days now.

It's getting a little more thumbs downs than I'd hoped for, but I think those are just for a tired old premise and (perhaps) somewhat typical execution. Oh well, it's still being received well enough and I'm glad I finally published it after... what, 8 months of writing it? I have 11 more chapters for it waiting to be processed and edited, so I hope to keep updating it regularly.

My semi-dark changeling fic is being delayed. Sorry! I kinda forgot it's Hearts and Hooves Day, otherwise I would have hit the 'Publish' button this morning. I want to wait for the shitstorm of H&H Day fics and the inevitable Twilicorn and canon AU fics to die down before I post it. Tuv has been extremely helpful in editing it. And, in fact, the 1st two chapters are spit-shined and ready to ship... You know, like, 'ship out' not like... ugh, you know what I mean! (In all seriousness, I don't really do shipping) Anyway, I'm having trouble with a title for it. ANYway, sorry to bother you with a blog post, just felt like celebrating!

THIS STORY is in dire need of a good editor.

It's really unique, especially for an HiE. Definitely up in my top 10 for HiE's. Funny story about 3 guys who go you-know-where. Action, adventure type of thing. The storytelling is radically different, and just a gem to read. All the usual 'omg where are my hands?' type of things you usually expect of a typical HiE are completely dispensed with, and it jumps straight into the action.

But dear sweet Celestia his grammar is god awful. Especially in the first few chapters, but it tapers off.

So... just a shout out to anyone who's up for editing this monstrosity really good fic that happens to be held back by minor errors. I'd do it myself but you know, it might hold back Last for like, another couple months...

FIRST! Before season 3 wreaks any more havoc on my unpublished fics, I wanna get them published come hell or high water BEFORE Twilight sprouts that wretched pair of wings and completely RAPES all of my flippin' stories! I got two what need a little prereading. Sorry! Neither is Last. One is about a changeling captured by Twilight, a wee bit dark, and the other is about a pony hater who gets mind-swapped with Rainbow Dash and adventure ensues, and also about RD who wakes up with hands and something only a stallion should have, and then adventure ensues.

The focus of the prereadery will be story flow, characterization, and scenery. Grammar and stuff shouldn't be an issue, I'm good with that.

Let me know which you're interested in (or both) and I'll hand pick some of you. I'm assuming I'll get at least a few people interested... although sometimes I wonder if those 480 watchers are even real people at all. How the hell does Regidar get so many comments on his blog posts?

SECOND! Like srsly. wtf. I could rant all day about why not alicorn Twilight, and some of you could rant all day why yes. No need to go through that though. Let's just say I'm very upset about all the fics that'll be ruined. Sure you could say all those stories happened before but what about the stories about Twilight becoming an alicorn? And all the stories deliberately placed in the future? *sigh* Season 3 has been unkind to my fics. The only thing they ruined that I'm ok with is Scoots+Dash. Because I fucking loved that episode. Worth it! And actually, Trixie coming back wasn't so bad, because she technically ran off again, and whilst not on the best of terms with the mane 6. So a lot of fics slip by with that. What's next though? Gilda coming back and making up? DEAR CELESTIA PLEASE NO. Now that would piss me off. I love Gilda, but that would literally crumble the plot of my fav fic.

My big gripe about Season 3 is wish fulfillment. The main difference between s3 and 1+2. You know, that lesson I learned the hard way as a writer: don't do it. Think about it. In the beginning, Gilda ran off angry, Trixie was shown to be a fraud and ran out of town, Ponyville was anihilated by parasprites, the CMC never got their marks, the Gala was awful, Dash got a pet that couldn't fly, the Flim Flam bros got run out of town, Discord got petrified again, the changelings lose the war and subsequently starve off, etc. Sure there's plenty of happy endings for all involved, but no major wish-giving. Not like Cadence getting an empire to rule, Trixie making amends, Scootaloo getting to be RD's lil sis (WORTH IT!), Dash becoming a Wonderbolt (more or less), Discord turning good, and Twilight beoming a goddamn motherfucking alicorn princess.

Although I have to admit, it seems logical that Tia was grooming Twi for this. Should've been something for a series finale though.

BUT! Look on the bright side! If they have any idea what they're doing (which they kinda look like they don't without the almighty Faust to hold their hands), they will hear our bitching, and make season 4 way better than this.

O_o At first she was all "I'm not going to sit down and watch that" and now she usually sits down and watches a whole episode with me every morning. lol. She's getting analytical too, asking questions and so forth. She freaked out when Pinkie turned into a rocket and pointed a shaky finger at the screen and went "SHE CAN'T FLY! SHE DOESN'T HAVE WINGS!" Hehehehe.
