Thanks for the fave
Leave of absence update coming withing the week...are you ready? :P
Hey, thanks for the comment on Love is its Own Reward! Is that Carnage you have as your avatar there? Freakin' boss, my good sir!
You've been with me since the start of LiiOR, have I let you down yet? I promise that I am still alive and have been working diligently all this time on the story, excepting for the large chunks of my life that have been consumed by hideous forces beyond my control. This past week was the first "normal" week I've had in a long time. Today was actually the first day I was able to sit down and accomplish set goals with both of my two main projects, LiiOR and Bon Hadescream. It felt wonderful!
I have read a lot of webcomics in my time, and I know what that horrid feeling of abandonment does to your gut. The creator is pulled away by Life, or worse, loses interest in the creation. This is a very cruel thing to do to readers. My side of the looking glass is filled with notes, stuffed with background research, and littered with scraps that just didn't fit into the story. Your side has the finished products. They sit there as monuments, but they never offer anything new. I'm doing my best to create and export those monuments into the public eye. Comments and other forms of reader interest really help, that's why I'm on here checking and responding to you!
I write for my own satisfaction. Knowing that others enjoy my work is a wonderful feeling, and it does motivate me to produce more. As I've mentioned before, LiiOR was originally a one-chapter letter with a little five-hundred word followup from Celestia. Because of the response to the first letter, I retooled the second chapter, and it's still my favorite. Because of how much folks liked the second chapter, I designed the third and fourth.
Because of the positive response to the third chapter, I decided to make the fourth something really special. I doubt it can stand up to the expectations that the delay has heaped upon it, but it's very cool in my opinion, and it's coming together really well on the page. So, thanks for the comment, because it reminds me that folks out there don't see what I see. They only see the final product, and they're hungry! In the meantime, you might want to check out some of the other stories I've written, such as Bon Hadescream, an adaptation of Hellsing into the FiMverse.
TL;DR: I'm working! I'm working! Please don't eat my face!
Thanks for liking
