I'm leaving forever. Goodbye. · 10:13pm
I'm sick of what this fandom has become. I was already thinking of leaving even before I wrote my first fanfiction. When I wanted to stop writing it, it wasn't because I didn't want to continue it. It was because I was sick and tired of this fandom. Sure it has it's good people, but the bad outweighs the good. You guys have become sexist, ageist, and discriminate against everyone. As a girl I felt some of this and felt it was too much, but it was my duty to finish my fanfiction.
The sexist and ageist comments go hand in hand, as one is usually accompanied by the other. I was sick of all the "This is the manliest show ever!" and "For little girls? You must be kidding." and even "The MLP toys wouldn't even want to be played with that way. They wouldn't want to have tea parties or brush their manes. That's little girl stuff. (implying that MLP isn't for little girls. I'm not the girliest, but who doesn't like someone to brush their hair or drink tea?)"
What also annoyed me was that you have the audacity to hate on Twilight fans, Old MLP fans (what's wrong with g3? I liked A Very Minty Christmas. It was a sweet movie) and fans of pop music, yet you get angry when people hate on you. You have to be kidding. Hypocrite central, much.
By that point I was already only calling myself a Pony fan, not a brony. Then I saw something on memebase that was the straw that broke the camel's back: http://bronies.memebase.com/2012/03/17/my-little-pony-friendship-is-magic-brony-bronies-are-the-best/comment-page-1/
Great to know I'm accepted. So goodbye. Go ahead, vote down all of my stories. I don't care about the opinions of sexist people.
Goodbye forever- Jayda oOSlowMotionOo
