Well, as you can probably have figured, I got that job sooner than expected and have been working my ass off. However, I've been neglecting my stories, and you guys. So, before I got my job, I had had an idea. Not the one with filly Luna, no. That one will be around eventually. This one is of a different tone. Here's the opening monologue, let me know what you think:

Life.

Life is humanity’s beautiful lie. You are given life, with one single, solitary purpose: to live. What you do with your life is entirely up to you. Do you become rich? Do you become famous? Do you settle down, get married, and start a family? Or perhaps you want to do none of the above. No one can tell you what to do with your life.

Death.

Death is Life’s horrible truth. Your purpose may be to live, but as a wise woman once said: “everything that has a beginning has an end”. There is no escaping the cold, dark grasp of death. You can delay him, you can push him away, but eventually he will find you. And there will be no escape.

You see, Life and Death go hand in hand. In fact, sometimes you cannot have life without death. They work together, like Yin and Yang. Like two parts of a perfectly written computer program. The beginning leads to the end, no other options are available.

But what if something is neither alive nor dead? What happens then? Does the system simply crash? Fall apart at the seams?

Or is it simply…re-written?

That is a rough version of the opening monologue to this new idea I'm working on. See if you can guess what it will involve. And a brohoof to anyone that catches the buried reference.
