My Little Wizzzard: Friendship is Dangerous

Why do people talk about the The Trousers of Time when the daft bugger never actually wears them? No-one wears them, you simply fall continually into the waistband, not knowing from which leg you'll come out of.

In one universe, Rincewind, the Discworld's worst Wizard, chose not to speak the words of the Spell in his mind and found himself falling down one leg, which would lead to him going on many adventures quite against his will.

What would've happened if he'd fallen down the other leg?

I firmly believe that Rincewind's skull is the ONLY one capable of supporting all Eight Spells, and that's only because it's had one of them freeloading in there for years now.

Of course, he wouldn't get all the spells at ONCE. Heavens no. We don't need a door to the dungeon dimensions opening in Equestria. He'll simply slowly find himself gaining lodgers, lodgers who will find he's not as easy to push around as they think.

And yes, he won't have an emblem, which makes him the 'defacto' babysitter for the CMC. They, naturally, keep trying to get him to tag along on their adventures, but Rincewind, ever the voice of reason, usually manages to keep them in line...yeah right they're gonna torture him.

Won't spoil how he 'embarrasses' Nightmare Moon, but I guarantee no-one will be expecting it. My only REAL concern is who to pair him with afterwards.:ajsmug::pinkiehappy::rainbowkiss::raritywink::twilightblush::twilightblush::trollestia::trollestia::lunasmile:

If Rincewind's skull can take it.

And if the spells can actually get along togehter -- I can't remember in the story (maybe becaue I'm not up to date) that he got any of that though. Killing poor Rincey due to spell territory rights would be cruel. Also, fun.

Not giving him an Emblem would be cool. They could take him to the hospital, make sure he's okay, then try and catch him as he tries to flee from the 'barbaric tortures' the ponies will want to make him subject to (animals need their temperature measured...you know where. Rincewind cares about that place a lot. It's sacred).

If the CMC adopt him as junior cruasder and make him go through many silly tests, now that woudl be funny. Let's say that nopony notices, except for the CMC. So Rincewind is 'bullied' into joining the CMC, unless he wants his little secret that he is an old blank flank exposed to the world.

Gosh. You have a lot of possibiliets. Now, let me read just how much Nightmare Moon will be embarrassed by Rincewind.

First of all, let me thank you for your support. I was honestly afraid this might not go over too well, since it's basically a re-write of the series told from a different P.O.V.

I'm currently debating whether or not to give Rincewind a 'Emblem' (Colts don't say Cutie Mark). If I don't, he'll end up spending more time than he cares to with the Cutie Mark Crusaders. The reason no-pony's noticed till now is because his Wizard robes cover his flanks.

I'm also debating whether or not to have the other Seven Spells join the one in Rincewind's head at a later date. One the one hand, Rincewind's 'One Trick Pony' Schtick with the One Spell is pretty impressive in it's own right (It's one of the spells that made a WORLD, Raising the sun and moon can't compete) but the Octavo has already revealed it's willing to break the laws of space time to protect itself, so maybe the other Eight will start taking up space in Rincewind's much abused bonce.

your thoughts?

Stopped by to remind you how awesome My Little Wizzzard sounds. I simply cannot stand to wait around for the next chapter!

Rincewind is by far one of my favorite heroes (if we give the definition of hero a facelift and total makeover), and he is totally there, in Equestria, in all his unfortunate, master-of-escapes, marked-by-fate glory!

I congratulate you, this fic is going on my user page as a fave!
