A human knight from a far off and distant land finds himself stranded in Equestria and sets off to complete the mission given to him by his king. Along the way he will come across many challenges and gain both ally and enemy alike. While this wayward knight begins this quest alone and with a single goal, he will find himself as either an instrumental part in the survival of Equestria or in its destruction.

"Have you ever wondered how your 'villains' became what they are? Or perhaps what lurks when Light is absent? I could tell you these thing, for these things are what I am. You were raised in the Light, and as such are biased to his side of the story, but come and listen to me and you shall know the truth!"

This is a side-project I'm doing while writing other stuff. It's basically the story of how all the villains in MLP became the way they are through a... different view point.      

For centuries, the Gryphonic Union has ruled over the whole of griffon territories and under the Union's rule peace and stability have reigned over the griffon people. But now, with the assassination of their chancellor, the nation finds itself divided by those who wish to maintain the Union, those who believe it is time for a change and those who simply seek to gain power. And in the middle of all the betrayal and lies, is a single griffon who just wants to save his people from themselves.

But unknown to the both griffon people and their would-be-hero, forces beyond their knowledge have ties in the affairs of their struggling nation.

This story is directly connected to the events of "The Tale of Gaius Ninefingers." but the story should still make sense without reading its sister story.

Honor has always held sway over my life, be it in the smallest amount or in the largest. But honor, like all things, has a price that must be paid. So, if you are curious my friends, to learn of the burden honor has given unto me throughout my days, then you need only listen to me for a short while.

Truly, it is strange to imagine a time in-which our beloved Equestria could have ever known the harshness and the brutality of war. But during the rebellion of Nightmare Moon, our land knew little else. During this time, Nightmare Moon created a vast unyielding force, one as such Equestria had never seen before. But after her defeat, the creation that she had made was forgotten and never spoken of again.

But after a thousand years, when Nightmare Moon returns...Who shall be there to answer her call?
