Wow! I got featured for some reason. That's pretty cool  I`d like to give a huge thanks to everyone whose taken the time to give it a go. 11, 000 words certainly takes a chunk of time to read (for me, anyway)

To be honest, I really didn't know if it would be received well or not. It's certainly my most ambitious and experimental story, as it is really weird, and doesn't make too much of an effort to explain itself . Judging by the comments, I'm not entirely certain I made the right decision in my stylistic choices. Being as unread as I am, it was certainly a challenge to write something like it without muddling it up or leaving the reader mystified and irritated, and I feel as though I did fail at this a bit. But I'm glad to learn!

My vision at the beginning was to write a really cheesy romance, almost something so corny that it would make people cringe.  It did end up a little differently, but I'm glad I could have kept a few cheesy elements. I even wrote an extra flashback scene that was never intended to be included, detailing how Rainbow pays Twilight back for an anniversary dinner of cold pizza. It was pretty saucy, but very entertaining to write. (why am i not ashamed oh god)

With that out of way, it's with a heavy heart that I have to say that it will likely be my last story. Trying my hand at writing has been an absolute blast, (albeit frustrating as hell at times) but I feel as though my creative and emotional drive has faded over my absence and current life situation. I don't want to say I'll absolutely never write anything again, because inspiration is a curious thing - it's just not too likely! . I think it's time for me to move on and tell my story in different ways. Words and I don`t get along very well

I'm still going to be around the site all the time, haunting authors that take ages to finish their stories, and to continue my eternal conquest to read every Twidash story ever. Feel free to PM me or throw a comment on my wall for whatever reason, I'm usually good at replying pretty quick.

I'd also like to give a big shoutout to Limeattack. Seriously, he's way underrated around here. I also feel like a massive ass for making stupid assumptions.

Thanks again for a wild ride!

Yeah, I know I'm a bit of a scumbag when it comes to making empty promises about writing my awful horse fiction, but I've just about finished a story that I think might be worthy of putting up here pretty soon  I'm just in the process of squashing some of the awkward dialogue -  and I think I'll end up rewriting one of the shorter scenes. Unfortunately, it seems as though my go-to pre-reader isn't around these days, or maybe he just doesn't like me anymore :raritydespair:. Perhaps I'll just do what I did with my first story and just post it raw, unless I can find someone I can trust to look it over.

I'm pretty ambivalent towards the story itself, there's a few parts I like, but I'm shaky on my execution. It's really like listening to the same song a hundred times on repeat; to the point where I can't tell if it's a massive literary piece of shit, or if it has some semblance of 'good' in it somewhere.  My basic idea going into it was to loosely steal a motif from one of my favourite old stories, (The Centrepiece of My Collection) invert the premise, and add my own story.  It's also completely romantic, (tag-wise, not being pretentious!) but it might be a little disheartening to some readers - however, not so much as that I feel it merits a sad tag.

And yes, it's Twidash. There is no other option.

So, yeah.  If I feel that it's just garbage (probable outcome), I'll put up another blog post with a link to the Gdoc if anyone wants to give it a read. Otherwise, it'll be up here soonish! Hopefully by next week.

In the meantime, you may enjoy (this) incredibly handsome image of myself.

PS: Hopefully this post makes sense, I need to stop writing these things at 3 in the morning.

    Dear Fellow Authors · 11:21am

    OBSERVE.

    "Hello, Rainbow."

    "Hey, Twilight."

"That's a nice scarf you have on today, Dash!"

    "Thanks, Twi'"

"Want to make out now, Rainbow?"

    "Yes, of course, Twilight."

    THIS NEEDS TO STOP

YOU DON'T NEED TO DROP NAMES IN EVERY SPOKEN PIECE OF DIALOGUE

    ONCE IS USUALLY ENOUGH

I'M SO MAD RIGHT NOW ALKDFJALKSDFJALSKDFJKALSDF
