It is a special day for Vinyl Scratch and Octavia. A very special day. For a night of good cheer, the DJ brings the cellist to one of her performances. And as a surprise, she does something quite unexpected of a mare for her caliber.

Twilight has caught a deathly illness of which there is no cure found. The only thing one can do is mask the pain. She writes a few letters to her closest friends, then goes to visit them. Even when practically on her deathbed, the unicorn has some things she has to say to her long loved friends.

Twilight Sparkle has been cast into exile on a small island far off from the main land of Equestria by Princess Celestia's orders. What could she have possibly done that would bring her into forced isolation like a prisoner; where she can't even send a letter? Is there any way off of this forsaken place?

A tragic accident forces Rainbow to be lifted to the large hospital of Canterlot. Applejack, having heard the news from two of their best friends, hurries to be by the pegasus' side. Her words that painfully longed to be said and received are finally unleashed.

Applejack has been acting a little bit peculiar. Every week she goes down to the end of the road just before dawn and begins playing her guitar, not talking to anyone. What is causing this strange behavior? Her friend, Twilight Sparkle, hopes to find out.
