Howdy y'all!

The new chapter is still being worked on. I hit a few snags in the process of writing it and needless to say, I found myself stuck for awhile.

I've recently worked my way past this snag though and the chapter is back on. However, my brain is tired from trying to get the chapter back on track. Sorry for those of you who were looking forward to reading it. Still may be yet awhile as despite how excited I was to working on this, it's proving far more difficult to write than I initially thought it was going to be.

In the mean time, hang tight and hopefully I'll have good news for everyone soon!

Howdy y'all!

Clearly, the most important thing you should all know is that I have me an Applejack Crystal figurine.

That's what you all came here to read about right? Thought so!

Well, it's basically a translucent plastic amber shaded Applejack figurine around an inch tall and it's covered with sparkles! SPARKLES! It's pretty!

That's pretty much all I have to say about her, other than that she's hanging out on my desk watching as I write.

Wait, you didn't come here to read about my new AJ figurine? Oops, my bad!

Okay, so I'm going to go ahead and clear up something with a lot of messages I've been asked since I first started writing.

What is this question? Well, I've been asked quite frequently, "What's your writing process?"

I honestly don't know why you'd want to know my methods of how to get my semi-creative juices flowing, but I'll tell you.

Before I get started, let me just assure you that how I get started is nothing special at all. In fact, I view it as kind of tragic.

First off, I need the mood to strike me to write. Typically this is when I'm lonely or tired and in rare cases extremely bored. Sometimes if I want to write but I don't have the inspiration I'll listen to music. Generally something that fits the setting of the current chapter. In this case, for those of you who are curious I started out writing the chapter in progress listening to:

Secondly, I need to be free from all distractions. I pretty much forbid myself from using anything other than a word document, and YouTube or Pandora for music.

Finally, and most importantly, a can of Mountain Dew Code Red. This is an absolute requirement for me, I've never been able to write a single chapter without some Code Red. Do I know why? Not really, but I just go with it. I've tried dozens of times to write without it and I can never come up with anything!

Now relax, for you who didn't come here expecting information on how I write and came here strictly for information on when the new chapter might be done.

I'm currently only around a fourth of the way done with the current chapter. I'd like to be further, but hey, it's a start!

Random imaginary person I made up asks, "But RDS! When will it be finished?!"

I HOPE it will be done before Friday next week. Is that saying it will be? Absolutely not. However, me writing this down and telling a whole bunch of people that I want to have it done before then will motivate me and probably increase the likelihood that it will be done by then. I do have some real life conflicts though, as an example, I finally have a job interview this Tuesday. So that can interfere with my writing, especially if I get the job which I desperately need.

Howdy, every pony!

I know it's been a while since I did like anything... But I can explain!

First of all, since the last chapter I wrote, I moved. I'm no longer living with my parents. After getting settled in with the moving, I had to find a job.

The job consumed almost all of my time, and I didn't really have the focus to write anymore.

Finally, I got fired from my job! This is both good and bad news. The good news is I have time to write again. The bad news is I have no money, which makes my life more stressful and frankly more difficult to write.

Enough of that, I'm sure plenty of you are wondering "But RDS, what about the story?!"

Well rest assured, I am still working on it. It's taken me awhile to get back into the swing of writing after such a long and unexpected break. After much mental debate, I know precisely how the story will end. (As before I only had a general idea, that I wasn't completely satisfied with)

The newest chapter is in the works and I finally have it in its halfway finished point, which is generally when my writing starts to speed up a bit, as I know where the chapter will be going, etc.

I wish I could offer everyone some kind of release date, but my brain isn't stable and focused enough. I promise I will keep writing and hopefully you'll all have new chapters from me to read. In the mean time, hang tight and your patience is much appreciated.

You guys might not think it, but I do read every comment and message left. They are generally great motivation for me to get back to work. So please, don't be hesitant to leave me a note once in awhile if you have the time. I will read it, usually the same day it's left, but no later than one week. I love hopping on to FIMFiction and finding any new messages or comments. Thanks again and I'll try to update the story more frequently and if not the story, at least a blog entry or two!
