After six months have passed, Rainbow Dash wants to adopt a filly. After a careful night of consideration Applejack finally agrees. Their new adopted filly befriends the cutie mark crusaders. Meanwhile unpaid pills are continuing to pile up, despite warnings Applejack decides to try and win money in the Canterlot Derby.

While Rainbow Dash is off preparing for the big event. Applejack finds herself alone at home most of the passing days and becomes increasingly lonely. In a moment of weakness she makes a huge mistake. When she goes to try and make up for it, Rainbow Dash is nowhere to be found.

Heart's Warming Eve is approaching and Rainbow Dash has something special planned for Applejack. Now staying at Sweet Apple Acres the two ponies try to keep their romance hidden away from Ponyville. However some pony does discover their secret and soon after they find themselves being pried apart from one another.
