So, the ever awesome Bookplayer is part of the Intelligent Shipping Discussion group. Where actual discussion happens, rather than "hey, help me find so and so" fics and whatnot threads.

The challenge is this: there are 15 total ships for our 6 heroines. Bookplayer has provided 15 different prompts, and asks that you write at minimum 5 fics of at least 1000 words. They each must have a different ship, or refer to a different ship (so you can't do, say, two appledash ones). Further rules are detailed in the thread itself.

Still, I figured a few people might be interested in this! So have a look at the thread. I might give it a try at some point myself, but right now I'm drawing a blank on them :P

Yes, yes, I am a whore to all things AppleDash. To prove the point, I found this website and thought, well hey, I can get an appledash piece of art for my phone casing!

A few came to mind, but then I realized, I'd already commissioned a pic that would fit perfectly.

Jondor picked up on the idea, sent me a 2000 word first draft, and then he worked on extending that to 6k words, with me providing ideas here and there.

Interestingly, Mood wings seems to have picked up quite strongly. It's been in the lead since the second time I posted the poll link. I'm still writing the appledashlight first, mind you, but that cements mood wings 2 as the project following that ;)

I'm glad to see adventure and changeling dash doing well! Although to be honest, I expected the votes to be more scattered amongst everything. Mood Wings/AppleDashLight's crushing leads were a bit unexpected

Now, let us speak of art. Me, being the total whore for art that I am, often trawl through tumblr, and if I see a friend's request stream and manage to snag a spot... I'll usually ask for appledash. And most of the time, I'll ask for something specific from mood wings - the wing-touches-cutie-mark thing. I've kindof fallen in love with the motif, so to speak.

I'm no stranger to story ideas popping in my head, and having to write them down. I just tend to work on a single idea at a time and focus all my efforts on it, rather than try to write paragraphs for another story here or there. That way, I don't have a million fics unfinished at the same time. Wink wink. You people know who you are.

That isn't to say I haven't made a list of ideas, and have had some thoughts of scenes for said ideas, or haven't done brainstorming... plenty of that has happened. And here's a list of what I've had ideas of, and what I'd like to work on:

Mood Wings sequel: Yep! I've had a few ideas on this. It mainly revolves around and relationship further down the road. In fact, the main thing about this would be meeting Derpy's parents. Twilight's in for a bit of a surprise! And yes, wings will play into this. I've a few ideas about what to do regarding dealing with wings. Not entirely sure where to go with it yet, though.

An AJ/Dash/Twi romance fic: if AppleDash is my OTP, AppleDashLight is my OT3. Yet there aren't really any fics that tackle on a three way relationship with these three specifically. I know of another one being written, but off the top of my head, I can't think of other ones. In this setting, TwiJack is a thing. Yet an errant thought (what that thought is/what causes it will have to wait until the fic happens ;)) causes them to consider bringing Dash into their relationship. It might take a bit of discussion and thought, but they don't have a problem with it... but what about Dash?

Those two are the ones I'd like to work on most. The AppleDashLight especially, though my editor and writing assistant, Macdjord, prefers mood wings. Pfah!

Here are more ideas I've had:

AppleDash Adventure fic: Think "Beyond the edge of the map", or "Lost and Found". I can't really think of many "lost in a far away land" fics that focus on Applejack and Rainbow Dash. "Cloudy Skies and Distant Lands" comes to mind, but it's on a hiatus since forever. In this fic - the cause of their being lost... is Luna. Why? You'll have to see. While the pair tries to come back from wherever they get sent (I know where ;) ), the rest will attempt to figure out how and why they were sent away, and hopefully, try to bring them back. Meanwhile, AJ and Dash encounter many things on their way home...

LunaDash fic: Yes, it's not AppleDash. I know girls, shocking! Anyway. The sonic rainboom is an old mare's tale before Dash first does it. Which means it must have existed in the past. And there are few ponies who fit the term "old mare" better than the two alicorn sisters... But it has been so long, Luna isn't sure she is still capable of doing one. Maybe with a bit of help from the current master?

(though I'm always tempted to put some AppleDash in here. I'll have to resist doing so )

AJ and Dash stuck in a time loop: Why no, I haven't recently read Hard Reset, and am totally not influenced by it at all! Whatever gave you that idea?

Time loops tend to focus around unicorns, or more magical ponies - and usually, it tends to only be one pony. Here, it would be two non unicorns. Why are they stuck in this loop, and how do they get out? Still figuring that out. But I think it would be a fun thing to do, depeding on the direction taken.

Applejack and Rainbow Dash as movie stars: one of the big Applewood studios is planning on turning a Daring Do novel into a movie, with the author's blessing. Dash is cast as Daring Do after an audition - and who better to play Daring's Companion/antagonist/Frenemy, Blondie, than the existing green eyed stetson wearing cowpony? Shenanigans then ensue, both on-set and off-set~

Flight Club - exploring the idea of ponies being pegasexual - attracted to pegasi more than any other race.

AJ finds herself going to a club of “wing appreciators”. Not quite a kink club but something more akin to having a fetish. She loves wings. Today the club has guests to demonstrate some wing-dances and other similar things.

One of the pegasi guests/performers?

Dash.

Cue a very flustered AJ, and maybe a private session between the two.

I think I'd want to keep this safe - no clop (or at least, not visible). Definitely worth some fun between the two, and it would explore more wing-based worldbuilding

Prodigal Daughters:

While not quite the Equestrian Games, there is a sub-set of inter-town games. The town picks one pony (of each gender, perhaps?) to represent their town in this athletic competition. Naturally, Ponyville chooses Applejack. And to her surprise, Cloudsdale chooses Dash (after all, who better than the current rainboom master?).  Who will win!

Changeling Dash:

The climax of the Royal Wedding arch didn't go as planned. Chrysalis wasn't so easily defeated.  The Mane 6 were carried off and forced into those weird coccoons. Thankfully, the tide turns, possibly with the help of Luna. The mane 6 are rescued in the nick of time.

...mostly.

Dash is no longer the same. How will others react to this? And how will she deal not only with her changed form, but to the discovery of how one of her friends feels about her?

And most importantly, can she be cured?
