It's been inching towards one whole year since Twilight Sparkle made her first foray into an entirely different universe inhabited by an entirely alien race... and inching towards one whole year since she'd started her relationship with a member of said alien race she'd befriended during her travels. She and the human being known as Ty had been together long enough that they'd been able to see beyond the basic differences between them and their respective worlds and cultures in the name of their affections for one another, all the while mulling over how to reveal the true, unorthodox nature of their courtship to the public.

However, when a sudden issue arises within Twilight concerning her biology; an issue neither of the two had done more than touch on, she contemplates how to inform her special someone without alarming him. Unfortunately, a foreign threat comes to Equestria with malevolent plans (with perfectly wrong timing), forcing the two and the others into action...

It's that special time of year... For Ty, it's Christmas, a time of cheer, celebration, unity, and happiness. For Twilight, it's the annual celebration of the founding of Equestria, better known as Hearth's Warming, which is a season very similar to Earth's Christmas in more ways than one. A short time before these analogous holidays arrive, a party in Ponyville has been scheduled, and everyone's invited!

Rainbow Dash has a problem, but she finds herself unable to admit it. She'd consulted Twilight Sparkle before on the matter, but even the knowledgeable lavender Unicorn found herself stumped, pointing the Pegasus in the direction of her colt-friend for advice. But can she bring herself to ask somepony she hardly knows for help on an issue so personal?

In an attempt to transport herself to different places of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle accidentally uses a spell that transports her out of her universe and into a new one. However, instead of panicking, she takes it as an opportunity to learn about the new world she unintentionally threw herself into. As thanks, she takes the human she meets and befriends to Equestria so he can do the same with her world.

When one of the Mane 6 succumbs to poison from an unknown deadly plant, the others must figure out how to continue their lives without her. However, an old foe takes advantage of the situation and makes an ominous return...

My first story ever, so forgive me for this not being quite so good.
