So Summer isn't done before the end of summer. In my defense I made 100 bucks on commissions at Bronycon and I still need to finish doing them, since the people that commissioned me are essentially paying customers. On the plus side, I'm drawing again! I missed it so much<3
And uh, I guess I don't have much to say about this year's Bronycon. I was on a panel?
There was a lot of stupid security related stuff that kept happening with our room because the Shearton fucking sucks. I spent most of my time drawing because I was supposed to be helping Pacce run a vendor table, and I did pretty terribly at that beyond covering bathroom and food breaks. I did meet a whole lot of fans, which was really, really cool, and people paid me to draw stuff because my work is actually considered desirable, which is also pretty awesome.
That said, all in all, I didn't have as great of a time this year as last year. I'm not saying I hated it, or that it was a bad experience, but there were so many dumb things happening in the background that it kind of neutralized all the really cool stuff happening in the foreground. The result was just kind of mediocre when it should have been a-fuckin-mazing.
There are multiple factors involved in this decision. The most prominent of these is that Baltimore fucking sucks. If you love Baltimore because you live there or something, I'm sorry but fuck you, buddy, I hate that place. It's probably my bias since I have such a huge boner for NYC but NYC is honestly why I had such a great time last time. Driving was a huge mistake too. Yeah I got to hang out with Cosmo on the ride down but TWENTY SEVEN DOLLARS A NIGHT FOR PARKING UGHHHH.
Anyway, for a better writeup, you want this cool motherfucker, who I finally got to meet in person even if only briefly.
Anyway, sorry for the continued delays and all that jazz.
