It should be no secret by now that I've become very much distant from fan fiction. I'm still behind in reading stories that I've meant to get caught up on for months, my two main stories have gone months without an update, and I just overall find myself coming back to this site less and less. The finale put me in a place where I was not very optimistic about the future of the show (Equestria Girls doesn't help either), many of my friends have given up on the show or also have found themselves in a similar state as me, and the various ideas I had floating in my head this time last year for writing has, for the most part, dwindled away.

Long story, short? I think I'm losing interest in pony.

I just don't know. Season 4 truly will be the deciding factor for me. If season 4 continues to get worse, I'll probably move on. The show was really damn good, I've made a lot of friends from it, and this site showed me how much fun I can have writing, but it can't be denied that I'm inactive as hell on here these days.

For what it's worth, I've been playing a lot of Fire Emblem Awakening recently, and I've never seen another game put such a strong emphasis on shipping. It's a really fun game. So is Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. In fact, if you're reading this and you don't own a 3DS, go buy a 3DS. Right now.

Anyway, I really do need to buckle down and do some writing, but to do that I should probably first let go of some of the ideas I've had floating around in my head that I don't have the encouragement to write anymore. I need to sort out the stuff I no longer want to do from what I do want to do and hopefully it'll ease my mind an allow me to make progress. Let me lay it down as so:

What WILL Happen:

I'll finish This Can't Be Happening. It's not even that far from being finished. After the next Lyra chapter, I have only one other pair of Morgan/Lyra chapters before the finale starts. I'd say you should expect it to be done by this summer.

Don't Go To Sleep will be finished. It'll take some more work, but I have the general storyline thought out in my head and if Brony_Fife is still willing to put up with my slowness and still help me out with the edits he kindly provides me, the story will finally see its end. I have his edits for Chapter 2, I just need to finish applying them.

I'll write Ed Edd n Eddy's Big Pony Show. Out of all of the story concepts I had/have for future stories, this one is my favorite and the one I have the most ideas for. I still really want to write it, so I'm going to. When will I do it? No idea.

What MAY Happen:

A Pimp Named Spikeback 2. The original received a very warm reaction on here, despite it being lackluster due to being my first fan fiction. The idea for a sequel where I explain how Spike became a pimp has been in my head for a long time. I've thought out various fun gags and jokes I could make related to The Boondocks, since it's where the crossover comes from in the first place. I'm not as determined to write it as I am with the EEnE fic, but if it's something people would like to see and if I can think of a good full story for it, it just might see the light of day.

Any stories I get ideas for past season 4. Lets say the show gets better, despite the really crappy finale to season 3. Maybe season 4 is the best season yet, it gets rid of any want I have for moving on from the show, and maybe it gives me a bunch of ideas for some stories. If I get some good ideas that I really want to write, then I'll probably do it. Most of what I would do would probably be one shots, though, so I don't return to the Update Purgatory that TCBH and DGTS have been suffering in for months. I may very well wait for both stories to be finished before I do the Ed story, to help it become less likely to suffer the same fate.

What WON'T happen:

Everything else. I've talked a bit about other story ideas here and there, but all of them besides APNSB2 and the Ed story have become pretty much ditched. For example, I mentioned quite some time ago that I wanted to do a shipping story and one commenter gave me the idea to do a Spike/Rarity story. I had a good story going on in my head for a little bit, however, now I have no interest in doing it. I also originally thought about making A Pimp Named Spikeback a trilogy, and ending it with the 3rd story. But, like the shipping story, I have no interest in doing a third story anymore (and as mentioned early, I'm not even sure if I'll do the 2nd).

So basically, outside of finishing my two main stories, don't expect much from this account besides the Ed Edd n Eddy story. I'm in a bit of a waiting period to see if I'll still continue on with watching the show and writing stories about it and if I decide not to, Big Pony Show will likely be my last MLP related story. But, who knows. Maybe once I finally finish TCBH and DGTS, I'll become inspired once again and make Big Pony Show my best work yet. Maybe it could even get on Equestria Daily.....well, let's not get ahead of ourselves. But I'm optimistic about it and if it goes over well, it could likely be just the thing I need to make me stick around.
