Last week I said that I had intended to get the latest chapter of WCBB to Tencent before the evening was out, or at the latest Monday. Yeah... that was before my work decided that they wanted me to put in a ton of overtime. Money's good, but hobbies obviously suffer. That's alright- we went over the rough draft last night and should have something to show for it sometime this week unless something else comes up. This is why I USUALLY don't like to give timelines or dates- I almost always miss them. On the other side, it gives me something to push towards.

WCBB- As stated, latest chapter is in editing right now, and I'd like to see it up sometime this week or early next, we'll see what happens, but that's my goal. The next chapter is also written, and we've discussed it a little. I'm currently going over my own edits to make sure there's nothing egregious before sending it to Ten, but I think that it's going to be solid enough that it's not going to take too much more. I have no fear about that one also being out by the end of the month as 'promised'. As for the chapter after that, it's another case of we know what's going to be in it, and roughly how it's going to be structured, but I have yet to write a single word for it. This week while in the middle of edits on the other chapters I'll start. I tend to not like to start writing later chapters until I'm fairly certain what's in the ones before, saves a lot of going back and fixing stuff (which is one of the first things we had to do when Tencent joined in on this). Things are going well though, and I'm fairly happy.

Wild Wings- Nothing new to report. I'm sort of focused on ending the first major arc for WCBB and it's only when I'm really burnt out on that fic that I start writing chapters for WW. We'll see how it goes.

Other than that, I was in the #fimfiction IRC earlier today (well I end up there most days, some of the guys there are a hoot. Dicks, but a hoot) and while discussing the merits and faults of HiE one of the other guys came up with an idea for a fic. With his permission I'm totally going to write it, but not at the expense of the other two fics. It's going to be... different.

That's it for this week kids. Chapter 16 for WCBB is a lot of set-up and foreshadowing, and I'm looking forward to it going live. Hopefully by this time next week it'll be up.

It's been a busy week for me, but I've done my best to push through and get as much done as I can on my writing. With the NHL on lockout it's not like I have that much to watch on TV.

WCBB: Working on getting chapter 16 finished. Hoping to have a working draft ready for Tencent either by the end of tonight or tomorrow, more likely tonight. I know everything that needs to/is going to happen in it, it's a matter of writing it out and making sure it doesn't sound too contrived. No spoilers or anything, but major developments hoooooo!

Wild Wings: I got chapter one out to fairly lackluster response. Meh, not a huge deal. It's more for practice than anything else, writing in a setting and style I'm not accustomed to. Any response I get is fine by me. For those who are following the trio's aerial misadventures, I'll start working on chapter two soon, focus is on What Came though.

On another note, I really need to stop finding fics to read. Seems every day I sit down to write some fic catches my eye. Oh well. Keep watching this space for more!

Hey kids!

I've decided to start keeping  a blog here. Why? Who knows? Seems like the thing to do- I've got enough followers I assume some of you might want to hear my ramblings. Also, I finally got featured on an update- there's that too.

So, what should I talk about today? Well, how about some story statuses.

WCBB: Another chapter up, and one of the best yet. It goes into that dark place again for poor Rarity, but things will get better for her. I promise. Eventually. Next chapter has mostly been written, and I'm in the middle of finishing it up so we can get into editing it. The chapter after that has also been tentatively written, with editing to go. Hoping to have at least those 2 up by the end of the month. No promises.

Wild Wings: Almost done writing chapter 1. Editing after that. It's taken a little longer than expected due to making various character and development decisions mid-chapter and re-writing entire chunks. I've decided, for my sanity, that the chapter lengths will be a little shorter than WCBB. Also, there will be some things in chapter 1, as was in the prologue, that may seem strange, especially where Applejack is concerned. If you really really think about it, you might be able to piece it together. If not, don't worry. It's a minor consideration at best. I'm going to try and do the editing etc myself on this one as exercise/practice, though I might want a pre-reader or two. If you're interested drop me a PM.
