Hey there, everyone!
I'm really sorry about the delay. Several things happened recently that really screwed up my writing.
First, I moved house, and the 'Net took TEN SODDING DAYS to be hooked up. No Internet, no Google Documents. Woo yay.
Second... Minecraft.
Seriously. I know of Minecraft but I'd never played it. I appreciated the aesthetic, I know what a Creeper is, I'm impressed by some of the constructions and so on, but I was never interested enough to try it. I got it for my 360 back in May, played the tutorial, didn't buy it, didn't see what all the fuss was about.
Then I saw a YouTube review of it and thought, why not, I have the trial on the ol' XBox, let's give it another go. I punched trees and made planks and finished the little house and hid inside during the night, and the next morning, I went outside and started digging down for the hell of it.
And I got it. I could dig and explore and make anything.
I forgot about the XBox version. I jumped straight on the laptop and threw money at Mojang. I lost two full days. And then I moved and I couldn't use GDocs, but I sure could build and dig and craft and kill monsters and oh cool this gold deposit is huge and...
And now I've uninstalled it and deleted all the houses and castles I've built, because it's addictive as hell but it's too much like backbreakingly-hard work to really be fun. You get nothing out of it other than a thing you spent 200 hours building that doesn't really exist anyway.

The finale wasn't my favorite, and deep down inside I'm still hoping beyond hope that she'll somehow go back to normal, myself, though not for the reasons most people criticized it for. A lot of people complained that it'd ruin Twilight's dynamic with her friends, or they'd necessarily have to be to awkward with her being royalty and thus make it bad (which isn't the case, you've demonstrated yourself that Twilight being royalty can be done extremely well
) but that was never my main concern. I was more worried about how everypony else will react to her. In A Bird In The Hoof how socially awkward and downright terrified Mr. & Ms. Cake were Celestia even in a socially lax, easygoing environment. Yet still, despite the frequency and general informality of royalty in Ponyville, everypony still bows to Celestia, is still jumpy around Luna for one reason or another, and can only be assumed to act in the same way towards Twilight come this Winter.
Anyways, thanks for answering and for (possibly) reading my semi-related rant there. I'll quit bothering you and let you get back to engineering/sleeping/ponying.

Though I AM gratified that "Luna-Can-Enter-Dreams" is now canon, because of, uh, jeez, I really shouldn't say. But what the hell. Pinkie hasn't been to sleep since the shit went down, and Luna might decide to spy on her slumberings shortly...

Oh and just a quick question that's been floating around in my head: I don't think it would, but canon Twilicorn doesn't really affect the story, does it? Of course if it's spoilery, then I'd rather not know!

Really, I'm working on it. I'm just tidying up what will be either chapter 22 or 23 right now (I'm writing the remaining chapters simultaneously).

Like I said before, I completely understand if real life got in the way, it happens to all of us. All I ever ask is a sign that my hope and patience is justified, and you've just given me that. Thank you very much!
