:duck: What can I say? :yay: I do enjoy a good read. :pinkiehappy: A bit too much, I'll admit.

Cool quotes. If it stuck to my mind, it goes here.

I figure, the only way to learn is to throw yourself to the wolfs and hope one at least lets you know how you taste.

1579715 I'm certainly glad you kept reading, so thank you!

i can understand where Aria's coming from.
i would go on a long explanation about how suddenly being free and having somepony to which she could be grateful for that can trigger a zeal so strong tha... man, i'm rambling.

in short, i get where she's coming from, but dunno if others will. i mean, i almost flipped a table and was done with the story at that point. but then i had like five minutes of pure hand-to-chin thought and... well, i kept reading.

1577898 Hey, no fence and no wall as far as I'm concerned! I'm just grateful for the feedback and conversation, but most of all, I'm glad that you are enjoying the story.

Frankly, the Aria "instant conversion" is a tradeoff I accepted because I felt overwhelmed by the number of characters and subplots I had going on simultaneously. Since, I have had to shift from "intuitive writing" to "planned writing" - if that makes any sense - because without slowing down and thinking about things more, I'd have characters reacting inappropriately and counter to canon more than I should. Aria's instant change, well, I just stuck with. I hope at this point, the dream sequence was enough to show how solid her conversion was and hope that others can suspend disbelief to accept it at face value.

Thank you for the compliment on Sunset Shimmer's scrying. Along with the magic compact, Sunset's skills as an artificer and prodigal jeweler was the other twist I added to close an Equestria Girls 1 plot hole. Have a great night!

yeah, i was kind of going to reply to your first reply with something along the lines of:
"first, that was a fast response, second, i'm pretty much enjoying your story. also, correcting small typos or errors is something i do when i like a story"...

but i was really tired (and therefore not thinking coherently) and ended up writing a wall of text.
i will stop myself here lest i make another wall.
in short, i'm enjoying the story. you're really good. although, to be honest...

the part where Aria asks Sunset for a weapon felt a little... far fetched, forced even... it flowed way to nicely... i mean, someone ask you for a weapon. add to it the fact that you're not sure you can trust them. then add the fact that an used-to-be-ally-but-you're-not-sure-if-still-is of that someone broke into your house and stole compromising stuff from you...

maybe i'm just overthinking things.
edit: look at that. not a wall, but maybe a fence. yep, overthinking much.

5427087 I hope you had a Merry Christmas if you celebrate it and that you'll have a wonderful New Year's in just a few days! :yay:

I appreciate the close look at Sunset Shimmer: Element Bearer and hope that you are enjoying the story. I know that some errors will slip through the cracks despite the addition of pre-readers and an editor. I'm still relatively new to this whole "writing for fun" thing and still make more mistakes than I'd like to. :twilightoops: Your constructive feedback helps me clean up remaining errors in the short term and improve my writing in the long term.

I'll admit that I was worried that you didn't like what I had written, but the fact that you've read so much of the story today combined with the comment you made about the "caught with her hand in the apple barrel" kept me from getting too concerned. Thanks again and have a great day! :pinkiehappy:
