Not everything is quite what it seems, and this especially holds true for ponies. Sometimes, that bitter old mare is secretly a kind old pony afraid to love again. Sometimes, that bragging pony is really afraid she might fail. Sometimes, that happy-go-lucky face you see on the street is much darker and somber beneath the surface.

Last year, Rainbow Dash crushed the competition to become the Equestrian World Ping Pong Champion. Can she defend her title again at this year's Equestrian World Ping Pong Championship Tournament? Or will a new champion be crowned at the end of the final showdown? Will anypony ever explain how they manage to hold paddles when they have no hands?!

Not all Diamond Dogs are bad, in fact some would love to have a pony or two over for dinner. When Fluttershy is invited to share Thanksgiving, a holiday which most Ponies, if not all, are unfamiliar with, she accepts and is introduced to a Diamond Dog delicacy. Turkey.

The Canterlot Castle Gardens are home to some of the most incredible statues in Equestria. They range in subject from great minds of magic such as Starswirl the Bearded to a group of ponies renowned for being the bearers of the Elements of Harmony. Of course, every rose has its thorn, and this garden’s most deadly thorn was the stone prison of Discord, a powerful being whose chaotically twisted sense of humor was matched in unusualness by his equally chaotic form, a mix-match of different races. Discord was a terrifyingly sinister tyrant feared and despised by all. All, that is, except a similarly socially outcast soul, Princess Luna.

Nightmare Moon has been running around Ponyville doing unthinkable acts! She's been... been helping ponies and doing charitable work! Hold on a second, that's not bad at all? Why is the evil NIghtmare Moon being so nice? What? Nopony told her she's the villian? Well gee, somepony should go do that, shouldn't they?

In case it wasn't slightly obvious, Nightmare Moon is doing things that typically aren't expected of a villian, and when Twilight Sparkle inquires as to why she's so nice, it shocks Nightmare to learn that she's the villian. Seeing no other option, she immediately sets out to rectify this situation. This is a comedy with darker elements including, but not limited to, kitten cruelty, royal beatdowns on the eldery, orphan terrorizing, property damage, and the ever present etc.
