Oh dear. It's certainly been a while, hasn't it? I suppose I don't really have any excuses for being absent for over a month, right after a giant cliffhanger on Homebound, but what can you do? I got sick once, had surgery, got sick from the painkillers and felt like death was probably a nicer option than having my stomach decide to try and crawl up my throat, and then sat around being depressed about life for quite a bit.

But then I realized I had a deadline and, like all procrastinators can, went into Warp Speed and churned out another chapter, whereupon my friend Laich tapped me on the shoulder and told me it was my turn to write in the collaboration story we have.

No worries, though. I'm back. Sort of. At least as back as I can get.

New Homebound chapter up, secret project cancelled, no progress on the Rainbow Dash story*, and three scenes away from completion of the first chapter of VV, which is currently looking to be 25k long.

That is all. It's good to be back.

(For Homebound readers, I posted some questions in the comments of the recent chapter. Could use some input on that.)

I'll be gone for the next couple of days, until Saturday at best. During that time, I'll still have access to the computer, and chances are I'll be very, very bored. I believe last year when this happened, I wrote over 12k words (which later ended up becoming Homebound.) and with that said, I'll still be writing. I've got Chapter 19 (the dreaded Pinkie Pie chapter) of Homebound, Rainbow Dash Has Tea With Jesus (I might rename it to something involving Red Bull), Via Vindictus, and a super secret special project that may or may not be posted on fimfiction.

Most likely, I'll be ready to post the Rainbow Dash + Jesus story by the time I'm home, Via Vindictus will be complete, the super secret special project will either be red or green for me posting it to fimfic, and Homebound will be mostly done. That is all for now.

I don't have much choice but to make this brief, because I've only just managed to get my phone internet connection working, and as I got to show my good friend Laichonious in person (I'm not actually a pony or a box in real life :o ) it has a super tiny keyboard and I have super big hands. In short, my internet is out and it won't be coming back immediately. Minimum time, maybe for two days. Once again, though, all my recent work is on gdocs. This means, of course, I can't write in them. I can write on Word, though, so there's that. Generally you won't be seeing much of me, though. That's not just to my watchers, but to my friends as well. Can't have you thinking I'm dead, can I?

But yeah, that's that. Retsamoreh out.

Magical Brony Wizard Detectives.

It's a collab that I've co-written. Specifically, a Terry Pratchett styled Equestrian Noir, as a direct sequel to TGBM (The Great Brony Migration, which I edited). It's a comedy, and it has my OC in it.

Holy cow, the computer is so much bigger than I remember. It's all that time spent using the phone, I say. You forget the size of things and you fingers need time to learn the ropes of the keyboard again. Hooboy.

writing will commence

No, I'm not back yet. Yes, I did go crazy and start writing a little bit over my phone. Yes, I am probably going to do the Hitler and CMC Teaverse fic. Yes, when I write it, Hitler will be speaking German and the CMC will be completely oblivious to what they have on their hands.

So no, I'm not back yet, but as I type this, our last day us coming to a close.

That doesn't count the four days it will take to get home, mind you. That includes driving and flight time.

Not much to say, really. I'll try and fix that abominable cliffhanger on Homebound, something I got a lot of "fuk u retsa"s from. After that, it's off it's to plan RDs Teaverse fic in full, as well as my largest project to date, Via Vindictus; it is the fic I've basically been practicing for with the Teaverse, but it will only share the narrative style.

There's also the super duper silly secret collab project I've been planning with two friends, for now going under the acronym "MWBD". It will also be in a narrative style similar to the Teaverse but will have a bit more off-the-wall humor and none of the from seriousness that will be in Via Vindictus.

Yet another update

Well it is only fitting that I am completely out of reach of the nearest whatever, unable to use the internet or even make calls. That little "no service" symbol on the top left corner of my phone screen always sends little shivers down my spine. But it's not all bad.

I saw the stars for the first time last night.

Where I live, or at least normally am at, the brightest stars are all we get. Getting the night sky in full is. . .

Well I hate poetry and the sky makes me want to sing opera. Yeah, that's a good way of putting it.

Anyhow, as usual, this update is pre-typed out on my phone's handy little note-taking app, and will simply be copy pasted into my blog when the darned little "no service" symbol goes away. We're actually heading to Yellowstone tomorrow, or are right now, depending on when this gets posted.

I've taken over seven hundred pictures so far. I bet you I'll keep about fifty of them. Hah.

Getting a bit crazy from not having written a single creative-based word in the past while. Idle hands aren't good for someone of the artsy persuasion.

Oh, and the opportunity has presented itself to briefly meet one of my partners-in-crime, Laichonious, on the drive back. Not often something like that comes up purely by chance, eh? I'm doing my best to make that a reality, ja.

PPS: my "crazy" isn't an exaggerated thing, it's fact. Try talking to yourself - literally as if you were across the room, or monologuing entire movie scenes . . . in an Australian accent.

PPPS: Cutie Mark Crusaders Have Tea With Adolf Hitler will probably happen. After RD's Teafic, at least. Anyhow if I can write a good calm story with Jesus, I can do it with Hitler too.

Well, folks, this is it.

And by that, I mean this is the last day I'll have even remotely any sort of possibly reliable internet connection, and its already so spotty that I have to deliberately type this up in a Noteapp doc so I can copy-paste when the time is right. I might be wrong, but were going out to the Yellowstone area soon, and I mean deep in it. Until now I've been able to at least check back and reply to things, but that might stop.

Oh well. We're half into the trip now. Or the trip is half over, whichever way you look at it.

Adios, my friends. I've already begun sketching out the plot to the next Teaverse fic, and I assure you, it will be different. Different in setting and whatnot, comedy will be amped up, and the victim is Rainbow Dash.
