About a week ago, I outlined an alternate sequel to Ponies on Ponies and I thought I'd share with everyone a sample from the first, somewhat confusing, chapter.

“Okey dokie, I’m sure I can get some ponies to help bring water to you.”  She gasped again.  “I should make sure that they won’t overreact to you first!”

“I’d like that,” I said, still in shock over this whole thing.  I mean, come on, Ponyville.  Was I dreaming?  If I was dreaming then why was it October tenth 2010?  Why didn’t someone I lived with for a few months know who I was?  Then again, how did she not know who Twilight was?  What was going on?  The questions almost immediately outweighed the answers and I thought the cause and answers could be found from only one source: Twilight Sparkle.

I know I haven't published either other side story yet, but I wanted thoughts on this is all.

Because I thought I did enough.  In retrospect, I needed something like the first swig of Luna: more than I ever thought I needed.  I took it down to revise the shit out of it.  As stated, I thought I was in the enough part.  Problem is, I don't like 120% more drama.  Ok, I'm saving it for later but I'm sure I can generate more drama for where I want to put it.

P.S. For those who didn't see, Bronies chapter "A Very Special Night" came out for a few hours.  I accept that I jumped the gun and am now in revising it.

Time for dark work to get rolling, I want your evil Mane Six ideas.  The only one I don't want is Twilight, I have my ideas for her...

Answer: They write stuff and publish at the right time.

Timing: This is a tricky read and I've noticed a pattern here in EST land of dropping chapters between 2 and 4 am will leave you on the box for some time.  If you can drop a chapter or two then that's better since it will leave more of a mark and keep you there longer.

Popularity: I write almost exclusively HiE stories, though I have some non-human/oid stories down in notebooks.  Because of this I find myself out in the land of "been there, done that" and it's hard enough to see the board that way.  As such, I find a way to throw a curve ball.  For example, I started a story about a fleeing white collar criminal and people took to it since it was HumanXCelestia for more than just "let's get together and do stuff." Each chapter past the first one left me enjoying about a day or two in the featured box.  (Next chapter still pending)

One Shots: As an avid believer of the fact that there could be more to a story than just a single [string of expletives] chapter, I won't even mess with this one aside from saying what are people smoking when they write one-shot crack?

Clop Fics: I don't go there and favor my not so subtle brand of implying to say that "things happened, move along."  I leave clop fics to Crowley, who writes some damn good ones.

Some Actual Secret: Um... I got nothing.  No, I really mean it.

Thanks to the ending of the chapter "Seeking Harmony" I've developed the concept of a mature fic based on everything that happens at the spa during visits of Alex, Rarity, and Fluttershy.

Before I forget, this will be rated mature for scores of reasons.  Also labelled for sex for a few less...

It got rather dirty at the very end didn't it?  Anyways, I'm curious regarding people's rating of just that chapter.  Personally I find it as more of a Teen (Sex) chapter but that's the cleaner version of the chapter.  Trust me, it was initially far worse...
